personally though, i think victory (being a new company compared to harley) has given harley a good run for their money. I expect victory will be around as long as harley, as in until the United States is wiped off the earth. Im going Victory personally, i like the reviews and the designs. I am going to enjoy the next 50 years of my life with my new hobby lol
Then theres the aftermarket. Nothing that is made for Harleys fits a Victory. All of those 800-page catalogs from Drag Specialties, Bikers Choice, CCI, and others feature gazillions of parts and accessories, none of which fits Victories. Or any foreign bike. In this sense you could argue that in the Harley world a Victory is as foreign as a Kawasaki.
I have always wanted a motorcycle, i am planning on a Jackpot in a few years, but i dont want to learn on that much horsepower lol i am going to get a Kawi, Vulcan 900 custom, and start with that, then i will get my jackpot. I dnt know anything about harley or victory but what i read online and hear from family members that own them. but I think that Harley has good things and so does victory. harley has a shop in every county it seems, and victory has a better rating of no fixing for long time.
No offense to anyone. Victory, right or wrong, is classified as a Metric cruiser. Which by the way has nothing to do with point of origin just specification criteria. HD may use metric bolts but it's tolerance specification is S.A.E.
This is all so ridiculous. I'd like to know who the classification authority is and how the conclude what bike goes where? Simply put, the 'mertric' moniker actually refers to foreign built bikes of Euro or Asian descent. Just because modern US society is growing in the metric direction, including H-D, .
Why are some H-D guys so hung up on fastener dimension to put down a brand they've likely never even ridden, let alone truly know any real information about them? A bike, albeit from a much smaller company, that has drawn likely it's majority of loyal converts from their beloved H-D's has a place in AMERICAN bike culture, so get used to it as they are very obviously here to stay.
I am not bashing Victory, heck I ride a Star motorcycle. Was trying to explain how things are perceived. I like the Victory brand, think it's great to have more choices, especially one with good quality.
Wilbecon, sorry, but you weren't the intended audience regarding the H-D riders comment. If you read read my reply you'll see this For you I only differentiated between your statement of what's truly considered a 'metric' (ie foreign built) and what isn't.
i think the main problem is that the HD guys have so much invested in tattoos pimpin the brand, and all the HD sheep just follow their buddys, instead they just flock to the dealerships, pay the price for the fancy building, and enjoy the SLOW,POOR BRAKING,VIBRATOR just to be like the rest that are use to following each other
That looks to be a nice, winding road. Give me a good blacktop out in the country and it don't matter what kind of bike I'm on. Like the video.

Rock on. Nice bikes all the same. I like my Star motorcycles due to a better cost per feature. I do like the Hammer though.

Like I said, I like 'em all, Star does put out a lot obf good riding bike for a fair buck, no doubt. Be well...
