  • im a 125 in makeup forever what am i on revlon? i had got 200 nude but it seems too white /: i hate when i get the wrong color lol suucks..

  • Don't use warm water on your brushes, it loosens the glue.

  • @comet630 Hmmm, I've found that warm water is fine, but hot is definitely not good :-)

  • i'm a 127 in make up forever what am i in revlon colorstay?

  • you shouldn't really push the brush all that hard onto your face becaue you can ruin your brushes :]]

  • Getting revlon colour stay as part of my christmas present so hopefully it'll work for me! I've got pretty bad keratosis pilaris on my upper arms and usually use some foundation on it if I'm wearing short sleeves but it tends to rub off, fingers crossed revlon works!

  • would you consider this a full coverage foundation?

  • @wishes33009 ColorStay? I'd say it's medium-full coverage... not as heavy as cake makeup.

  • Omg, your eyes lol their so pretty

  • Thanks (: because I bought the 200..buff I think? Its a tad to light

  • Im a 120 in Makeup Forever HD foundation...what is my shade in Revlon Colorstay?

  • @emily3241 Probably Sand Beige, but I'm not 100% sure :-)

  • i use both!

  • i love this foundation, been using it for years.

  • I know you did this vid a while ago but I came across it today and I just wanted to pass on a tip with removing Revlon's Colourstay from tools.

For removing from a palette and a synthetic fibre brush, try warm water and ordinary dishwashing liquid, it works really well and doesn't leave a residue if you rinse well in warm water.

Dishwashing liquid also works well on cosmetic sponges :)

    Hope this helps :)

  • They're filled with keratin and salylic acid helps a lot and try using a face wash if they r on you're arm......you can also pop the keratin out....I have them

  • Color stay is way to matte for me. So I mix it with a dwey foundation. It comes off flawless and stay on for ever.

  • Personally i hate revolon color stay because it makes my face cake up . I'm dying to try Make up forever(:!

  • You remind me of Casey Anthony! :)

  • @Taynee10 um lol is that supposed to be a compliment?

  • @666catsatan Umm idk I guess if you think Casey Anthony is pretty lol

  • i would like the Revlon, but the undertones do not work at all for me :( it also stains my brush. so hard to get out

  • What's your nail polish? It's such a vibrant lovely red.

I've been wondering about Colorstay for a while, you're video was helpful as well as entertaining. Thanks a bunch.

  • Your eyes are so amazingly pretty :]

  • Great vid, thank you. I was using Ivory 110. It is the perfect color, but it is a bit too pale for me. I tried Buff 150, but it is too yellow, I think, and looks chalky on my face. I am the opposite of you, I am more pink than yellow. I tried mixing them like you suggested, but I still get that chalky look. What do you recommend?

  • no powder at all for ColorStay??? thats awesome! most definitely trying that

  • what's you personal preference? these two foundations are different in price & with MUF costing more I was inclined to think it would work better, especially with the advertising push on HD makeup being the new professional thing that's available to celebrities, but from your video, i feel that the revlon foundation works better in terms of coverage, and from the before and after, the HD doesn't look that different [maybe it's b/c of the video] do you think wrinkles are more noticeable w/ revlon

  • @jkme2410 I got rid of my MUFE HD a LONG time ago and I still use and love Revlon Colorstay. It does not accentuate wrinkles from what I've seen, I especially love applying it with a damp wedge sponge.

  • Your eyes are beautiful!! They really stand out!!

  • i actually stayed throughout the entire video :)

    nice review. :)

  • i bought this revelon true beige in oily combination and its gives u flawless look for 3 to 4 hours then the oil breaks out...........what should i do...plz help.....thnxz

  • Cakeface4ever, target sell Sonia Kashuk ,it's really good!!!

  • Those eyes....wow

  • Im curious where did u get ur foundation brush?

  • You're absolutely awesome.

I don't know why you arent as well known as the bigger makeup gurus.

    Thank you SO much (:

  • You look like katy perry!

  • Awesome review! I love how you showed your before & after shots along with each foundation. It's hard to understand how well a foundation conceals the face but i'd say you made it easier! Not only did you talk about it, but you showed us your face in natural lighting so everything is very clear and i like that. It's hard to watch and know if a foundation really works when some people do their reviews with so much lighting you can't even tell what the foundation covered and what it didn't cover

  • I agree with the other commentators, thank you so much for showing us how you apply the foundations, in detail, for telling us what brush you are using, thank you for the comments in between the two days, and lastly thanks for the before and after pictures. Especially because I think you just saved me thirty dollars.

  • I just needed to say you eye color is ridiculous!!! So blessed. I wish I had wicked eyes like that... I guess I've have to settle for dukey brown :(

  • What an amazing review - there are so many people reviewing foundations on here but not many will show themselves without it first and then apply it to show how well it covers, how to apply etc. I was looking at reviews as i want to get this and this has made up my mind - I loved your review and it looks great on your skin to. I have a brush like the one you used and to be honest im new to this and unsure about what different brushes are for but now i know the best use for this - thanks xx

  • How do you think colorstay would work if you mixed it with a luminizer to give it a little more of a glow & life? then either before or after went over any spots with a concealer brush and colorstay that need a bit more coverage? How do you think that would work?

Also, doyou have a tutorial showing when you use the mineral concealer? I've never heard anyone else mention using a min. concealer, but I used to always travel with my loreal mineral conceal in my purse, it worked great. Thanks!

  • Has anyone ever said you look like Katy Perry? YOu do, something about your face shape, bangs, Eyes and eye shape, like you'd be her sister. I mean that as a compliment, I think she is very pretty!

  • your eyes are sooo pretty!!!

  • dobra recenzja, fajnie zrobiony filmik, zapodaj więcej :)

  • This is so god damn helpful.

  • I have to say, I was really underwhelmed by MUFE HD make-up. I got a sample of it with high expectations from Sephora and found it didn't perform nearly as well as the Mary Kay I usually use. It upset my rosacea too. I like the MUFE HD Powder though. It seems to work well over the MK.

  • OH MY GOD! I SO ENVY YOUR EYES!

  • ugh i have keratosis pilaris too :(

  • OMG look at those before shots! thank god for make up ! :/

  • this was very helpful best visual comparison yet!! i know wat im goin out and buying. ive been using mineral foundation for years but im ready to switch it up so thank you for sharing !! :)

  • You kinda look like Katy Perry! (:

  • Omgosh, I wanna steal your eyes :)

  • if i'm an NC25 in MAC and between 117 and 118 in MUFE HD, what's a good shade for me in Colorstay?

  • @LoveJenniferYang its not cool to ask people questions you can google for yourself. there are charts all over the internet with this information.

  • @Grace88Anderson i didn't know that charts like that exist. i don't keep up with makeup like that. but thanks for sharing. oh, by the way, relax. it's just a simple, fucken question. she posted comparing the two and i thought maybe she could help. if you're going to get butthurt and say that it isn't cool to ask, go troll somewhere else.

  • O0h Gosh, Your so pale.

  • I'm using Revlon ColorStay vs. #150 buff as you too, but I plan to go buy some MAC FIX Studio Fluid Liquid Foundation SPF15, which i have never try before and Im going to order it online, and cant really tell which color will match my skin b/c there's alot of different colors so..i have no idea at all which color i should buy...since you using revlon colorstay #150 as me too which color of mac studio fluid foundation you recommed? Anyone know? Plz HELP! =P

  • @eg9vtec I'd guess that NC15 will be the closest match, but it won't be perfect. Probably a little yellower.

  • @eg9vtec I am very fair... not as fair as Bethany though haha. I have MAC NW15. It makes me look orange, I DO NOT recommend it.

  • What color is that regular use of color mind stay

  • @CAROL080331 I'm confused by your question, but I have Buff and Ivory.

  • @CAROL080331 hahahahhahaahaahahaha

  • @katsouela hahahahahahahahhahaha

  • AWESOME JOB! You're very beautiful.....I'm going out to buy the Color Stay! : ) What a great help! Thank you!!

  • Thanks for the comparison. It was awesome!

  • Hey :). You mentioned having Keratosis Pilaris. Just so you know there IS an effective way of dealing with it - not many people know about it though. It consists of physical and chemical exfoliation. Try getting yourself a product with glycolic acid in it. (I like the stuff offered by Paula's Choice online.) It can take several weeks to show results but it does wonders for this type of skin condition.

  • revalon colorstay is awesome

  • mineral foundation is better than this one?

  • @iamchord It's better for your skin, but it probably won't work better.

  • You are so cute without makeup :)

  • revlon looks soooo much better

hope my mom buys it for me:( im broke

  • I bought the color stay today. it's pretty awesome. Btw, Your eyes are so beautiful (:

  • I use the Sephora Professional Air Brush #55 to apply my MUFE HD. I have the MAC 187 and it doesnt apply as well as the Sephora 55. Oddly enough, I get better coverage with my HD then colorstay. And my HD lasts a long time! But I do set it with MAC msf / great review! You are a doll!

  • You shouldn't exfoliate daily. I find that most long wearing formulas can be removed with olive oil, and once the makeup is dissolved, the oil is easily removed with my regular cleanser. If you try this, please let me know if this technique works for the ColorStay as well.

    Thanks for the review

  • @Sheenablackcat Yeah, I don't use the scrub anymore. Oil does work great for ColorStay and I actually like to use Jojoba because it smells better than olive ;-)

  • very goood review! I think hd makeup forever would be good for me cause my skin is dry and I do find colorstay to be mask like and thick on me.

  • VERY very good review!!

  • So have you ever tried Maybelline's Super stay make up? Awsome coverage...Totally matte coverage..Definitly a plus for full coverage make-up.

  • @sk8forare23 It's great, just none of the colors fit my skin :-/

  • i like the way you look in the colorstay because it was nice and matte

  • I'm in a love hate relationship with color stay right now :S I have been wearing it for a week and I have to say I love that it controls my oiliness, covers well, lasts even when I take naps, doesn't break me out hate: it's to heavy coverage over my acne you can tell I'm wearing foundation, dries too fast, settles in pores, doesn't blend well hmm. I also used makeup forever before this but I was running low low so I bought this I love that but I don't love the price!

  • @xxxAlesanaFan4everxx Here's a thought that might help you a lot: Make sure to apply the foundation with something wet. Either spray your brush with some water, or soak just a regular wedge sponge in water, wring it out and use that. It will help so much with blending.

  • @xxxAlesanaFan4everxx is revlon a good foundation and does it have a date on such as use by x

  • Your eye color is soo pretty. I always wanted that color of eyes. Mines are blue green and a little darker. i love light eyes.

  • i like that you're not affraid to show your face. These popular gurus on here won't let their viewers in an imperfect light. like geez u dont need 2 b a barbie doll 24/7

  • I like your review on these foundation, I don't know if you already answered this already but you tried the coastal scents hd liquid foundation, if you have do you have a video on that?

  • Sigma's Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki- F80 doesn't shed, alot of other make-up reviewers love this brush because it doesn't shed, I thought I'd just say that just incase you didn't hear about it by now :)

  • @MsSuperShay I'm actually very interested in trying this brush, thanks for posting this!

  • You dont even need foundation. Lucky girl.

  • Your eyecolor. I'm jealous. I have dark blue, sapphire-ish color eyes and always love lighter eyes.

    I'm intriqued by the ColorStay...

  • brilliant concepts - thanks!, any of you sampled Olays newest product line?? it's quite hard to find decent makeup in Drummond yet you can obtain some awesome cosmetics samples by checking out "GratisMakeupSamples"! their handy!

  • so i have oily skin too! and im thinking about buying the colorstay but i break out very easily and i wanna make sure im not gonna break out with this.. plz tell me what you think

  • @anna63rubio I don't know what it'll do to your skin, but I breakout easily too and this is the best foundation I've tried, it doesn't make me breakout.

  • I have that same sonya kashuk stipling brush, but yours seems to be fuller and more fluffy than mine. How/What do you use to clean it? Do you condition it?

  • olive oil will take colorstay out of your brush and off your face :)

  • i have acne-prone oily skin like you, do you think the colorstay would break me out if i used it? i heard it clogs your pores :/

  • @makeupandtacos My skin seems to be the best when I'm using CS :-)

  • I know this tutorial is rather old and you probably won't see this question :( but i'm still gonna ask.... YES it's a good foundation but do you think it's bad for the skin if you use it every day? 'Cause exactly because it is a "colorstay" it should be havier than most....anyone else who has an opinion on this please answer :)))

  • @1LeiaPrincess I totally still read comments on this video :-) Honestly, anything that's not 100% natural probably is a little bad for your skin/body. Though I find that my skin breaks out less when I'm using this foundation (vs another) almost everyday because it doesn't seem to really sink in to my skin, it just kind of sits on top (but not in a gross way). If you don't NEED full coverage, don't use ColorStay. There are a ton of great tinted moisturizers and sheerer foundations out there.

  • @bethainy You are awsome for answering this! Thank you! :)))

  • I want MAC studio fix fluid but if this is just as good as it, I'll probably get it. Which do you prefer if you'd tried fix fluid?

  • @HerCandySh0p I've only tried one MAC foundation and it broke me out real bad :-/ I think it was the fix fluid.

  • you're BEAUTIFUL

  • which is most water resistant ?

  • where do you get your foundation primer?? like the bare essentials? bare vitamins silicone stuff you said?

  • @yalikehollu I bought it at Ulta, but you can get it at Sephora too or a Bare Escentuals store.

  • You kinda look like Fiona Apple! The shape of the eyes..

  • Which of the two foundations would you recommend the most for taking pictures (wedding pictures)? I want one that wont have that white cast effect on me. And since the revlon has a little spf I'm kind of afraid to go with that one.

  • @23Crysti With flash photography, the ColorStay does tend to reflect more light than the HD. And for a wedding, it might be nice to splurge on a higher quality foundation (don't get my review wrong, HD is a great foundation). Hope that helps!

  • @23Crysti I actually used the MUFE HD for my wedding (I did my own makeup) and it looked fabulous in the pictures!!! Go with MUFE! It's worth the splurge!

  • @23Crysti Also... yeah SPF and mineral makeup will give you 'ghost face' in pictures. If you're worried about long wear. Sephora sells Urban Decay's "All Nighter" it's a makeup setting spray and makes your makeup moisture resistant. My face looked fresh until bedtime! ;)

  • r u spose to put concealer on before you do that?

  • @shimmerpink4 It's personal preference... I like to put concealer on after foundation.

  • your brows are perfect lol (: thanks for zee video.. i wonder if anyone here knows where i can find sonia kashuk in the uk?? i didnt see it on ebay or in boots/superdrug lol :(

  • @LetsMakeUp21 If you don't have Target, then you don't have SK. But the great thing is, TONS of other companies make duo fiber brushes like this... sometimes you just have to look around a bit.

  • you need to wear number 117 hd and try the mufe mat velvet instead of the hd. Mat velvet is full coverage and its water resistant

  • foundation always looks cakey on me :( i have this! and HAD photoready (broke me out). i always cleanse, exfo, and moisturize before foundation, and i prime. but it looks cakey!! i have oily skin :/ i don't get why!

  • i had those bumps on my arms all my life to! i hate them:p

  • I love my colorstay, I find it better than my mac. BTW you look really pale lol.

  • i love ur nail polish ! which brand is it?

  • @1Chloris I'm pretty sure I was wearing Creative in Starburst :-)

  • :( I just bought Relvon Color Stay liquid foundation... in 110 Ivory.. before I saw the reviews that say it's 'too pink'. I have redness that I want to cover.... will this mean that using that make up to cover it is pointless? Does it make you look more red/pink then you are?

  • @SeSsKaG4eVa It covers very well, so it should cover up your redness, not add to it. But if the pinky tone of the foundation doesn't match your skin (without the redness) maybe try Buff, it's a very neutral shade... not too yellow, not too pink. Hope that helps!

  • Revlon Colourstay definately ! You can see the difference straight away !

  • what other foundation did you mix the colorstay so it was't so pink?

  • @euwohnnah she mixed ivory(pink) and buff(beige) :)

  • This is the best review/tutorial I have ever seen for foundation, thank you! :)

  • WOW, i just bought this foundation and i wanted to watch reviews. when i saw your FIRST swipe on your face with this, it covered so well :|

  • revlon colorstay! would this be good for dry skin?

  • @KynLBin4eva They have one specifically for normal/dry skin :-)

  • @bethainy Oh thx u ;)

  • By the way, which of this foundation shade has more yellow/vanilla undertone though. I could never tell the difference :( The 110 Ivory Comb/Oily is a perfect shade to my skin tone though but as you said, it has pink undertone and somehow makes my face look darker/redder than my neck.

    p.s. I'm Asian with pale/yellowish skin tone...if that would help LOL :)

  • Oh my god....now i know why my face looks darker (more like pinkish almost like reddish) whenever i have foundation on. It's so irritating because my face will never matched with my neck!! Like, my neck is so pale and here come my dark face!!! I am using Revlon Colorstay 110 Ivory too. It has the pink undertone huh? That's the answer to my question! Because you know how you can never tell what's the undertone your foundation shade has. Oh my god thank you!

  • Do you think it would stay for school ? like 6-8 hours..? i have really oily skin.

  • @TickleMeTikaa It stays on me that long and I have oily skin as well! You might need to touch it up with powder though maybe once or twice.

  • does the revlon foundation feel heavy on your skin? i have oily skin also, and i was thinking of buying.

  • @mylove1 It's probably the heaviest foundation I own, but once you have it on for a little while, you barely notice it. You should just give it a try and if I don't like it, take it back!

  • really beautiful nails :)

  • my name is bethany, too, and i have keratosis pilaris as well. what a connection. haha. anyway, i just wanted to suggest that you use the e.l.f. powder brush for applying foundation. it's like, 3 dollars, but it's amazing and it doesn't shed. i don't know if they sell it in stores but i bought mine online.

oh, and by the way, you have really pretty eyes.

  • omg ur eyes r so pretty!

  • I've been using Colorstay for a while now and I don't have a problem removing it from my skin. I just use makeup wipes- Costco makeup wipes are seriously the best but one wipe takes the foundation right off. I like it too as far as coverage but I have oily skin as well and it definitely doesn't last that long for me before I get shiny so I have to keep using powder.

  • i just bought one and for some reason, it's breaking me out. i can never find a good foundation. my skin always breaks out. do u know what kind of foundation i should use? i have oily skin and if i put foundation on, it'll just break out and leave more oil on my face.

  • @p0interz why don't you try the neutrogena healthy skin foundation or the skin clearing one. ( :

  • you are super stunnin! That Revlon sure made your skin look flawless :))

  • ur so cute with or without makeup!!

  • you are so fun! i loved watching this

  • ur tone got even,I think I'm going to buy it in Walgreens and it cost like $10.

  • wow, the foundation provided alot of coverage.

how do you know it is a right color for you?

    I want to try it,

  • @junie136 You just have to test them out. Usually you can take them back to the drugstore if they didn't work.

  • the Colorstay looks better! I have some too and it's a bit too yellow for me but looks fine once it's all blended in :D I like to apply it with a damp wedge sponge. and one time I swatched it on my arm and it lasted through a shower! :O though it got orange/brown from being in contact with all that water.

  • @lelechim I've been using the damp sponge recently and I love it!

  • Thank you for this review. Can I suggest before you dip your brush in the foundation, spray the brush very lightly with toner (any toner will do). I find the moist bristles do not absorb as much product :)

  • you do look like katty perry ..//:)

  • hey i just done a review on the revlon stay matte mousse check out my channel to see what i thought x x x x soph x x x

  • I love your nail polish. What brand are you wearing and what is the name of the color? Thanks. And thank you for the tutorial on the different foundations.

  • try revlon photo ready foundation

  • @Bremandy63 I've heard this has glitter in it :-/

  • @bethainy - No don't try it! I remember you saying something about having a skin condition that mimics acne. Please be careful. It's not glitter. It's a satin finish. Even if it doesn't irritate your skin, it could emphasize what you're trying to conceal because of the faint shimmer.

  • @bethainy it does =S ! I like it alot... but dont really like the glittering

  • Does it make your face feel all dirty or as if you had a bunch of gunk on your face?? Hope you can understand what i mean:/ Maybe i should've said is it a light foundation or heavy?? Lol

  • @mzbubblegum01 It's more on the heavy side, but it doesn't rub off or anything.

  • gr8 video! for the color stay do u recommend putting a concealer on b4 or after putting it on?

  • @punkprincess34 After, always :-)

  • i know how to get rid of your pimples, don't wear makeup if you arent going out! lol

  • where do you find a brush like the one you used? and what would it be called? thank you !

  • Hey, I hope you can read this, but you should ask your doctor about retin-A because i've heard that it has the ability to heal keratosis pilaris. And if you've had it all your life, its at least worth a try right :)

  • @krasnee5 Thanks for the tip!

  • Wow! Looks great! Do you pin curl your hair? How cute! I want to try that too. Do you sleep on it?

  • @elwoodsn Kind of, and no, I usually just make little buns right out of the shower and let it dry while I'm doing my makeup, etc.

  • You're very pretty and helpful! But you're also very pale! :)

  • I'm waiting for a bottle of this from ebay, even more excited now!

  • u look and kinda talk like ellen degeneris

  • I get oily a lot too, so when you're wearing the HD foundation try using blotting papers instead of adding more and more powder, that way you look alot more fresh. They don't remove your makeup, just take away the oil. :)

  • have the same brush...I love all sonia kashuks brushes I want to buy them all cuz the quality is unbelievable.

  • Have you tried the mabelline Mineral power?
