I've been out of shape for quite some time, so it really helps me a lot! I break a sweat by doing the yoga, strength exercises, and aerobics, and the balance games are fun :) And I agree with the other poster, you should still supplement the Wii Fit with other forms of exercise. The only negative I have (and it's not really a big deal) is that you may get teased a little in regards to your workout and/or your BMI and suck. I just laugh and have fun with it. Good luck! :)

all that means is that your weight on the board is slightly backwards so you go backwards

It's great, but does not sub for real cardio or lifting weights. Helps more with balance and such.
