This is a correct top speed for the E39 530d. My one was a 2001 MSport version with a remap and MAX'D out I got 147MPH / 236.5KPH GPS verified. ( it was off the clock at that point.)
who cares, i have a 530d fantastic car , 130 all day and still 30 to the gallon, i also own a 600hp skyline will do 182 and bounce off the rev limiter all day, horses for courses, flat out the skyline doing nine to the gallon, at best, big diezels are the way to go,,,and without the insurance costs, i have a mate who tweaks the 530d with a gasket, turbo and intercooler to 375hp, but he is a genius,with hexodecimal,,but the auto boxes dont like it,,,,,,he also converts 3000d to petrol ,bonkers
Why you BMW E39 530d with 193 hp,L6 3.0 engine goes up to maximum 227 km/h and the Audi A3 2.0 TDI with 140 hp, L4 2.0 engine of my sister goes up to maximum 233 km/h ?
@guitigefilmpjes i thought that because the revmetere is at 3200, and it should go to at least 4000. same at 320d in 5th you change gear at 4500 (aprox) and the 6th doesn't reach this limiy anymore.
Hey man i have an bmw 530d 2001 with chip and i just have 226 hp and it's the max you can get on a stock 3.0diesel motor, so why are you lying man ? you can upgrade your 530d at 250hp but the motor will die after 50 kms man, it's not a ferari it's just a diesel, and if i be you a will change de " uberlauft " on your 530d bcause that's the reason the turbo die on 530d, your can isn't still safe with this chip so i will downgrad it a litle bit !
@shaheerkhan12 after chiptunning i have it 7months and i sold it.Reason is a have oportunity to buy cheap E 320 cdi with AMG optik with low mileage 68000km from my friend,and my bmw has begun to deteriorate and mileage is 267000km,and the transmission started to act strange and turbo has started to decline...

Aside from all out speed.... did anyone realise how QUIET this is? At like, 140mph you would expect slightly louder road/engine noise! And yet you guys are just talking normally as if you were only doing 60mph! *sigh* I love the E39, one day I'll have one! At the moment, I own a E36 with a M43 engine *hides* the interior creaks like an old bus...

really i have 250ps on my 530d,i am chiptuned my bmw in germany in october,and it showed perfect no problems with engine.

It is an E39 with 193hp, so the topspeed is 227km/h.

germany divers license = ca. 1300€

It is an E39 (so the previous model) 530d, with 193hp and a top speed of 227km/h (according to the book).
