What does this mean for Muslim men who can't grow beards...particularily the ones in Eastern and Southeastern countries like China, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Walaikum salaam wa rahmatullah, im also a revert living in a non-muslim country (UK) and i wear correct hijab, i dont think wearing a cap is a big thing, the beard (esp if its big) is more important, compulsary infact. but if you want to wear the cap too mashallah dont let any1 stop u, a cap is nothing on the scale to wearing full hijab in a non muslim country, just think about what us sisters go through and you'll realise how easy u have it!

walaikum salam sorry bro! u made an important point there mashallah that we need to remind & correct one another, unfortunately it becomes more & more difficult these days to do this because muslims r becoming ignorant of the deen and giving a very negative/angry/offended reaction when one does correct them subhannallahi wa bihamdihi! or u get accused of "judging" or "backbiting" by other muslims!!

just to mimick what hijrah97 said, the thobe/jubba is not from sunnah. it does follow the rulings however aslong as doesnt go below ankles, but the beatiful sunnah is a qamis/kurta upto mid shin/calf level and a lungi to the same level, as its narrated the the rasul salallahu alaihie wa sallam's garments didnt pass below his mid shin.you dont see too many people immitating this dress,there is a place near my house where the men dress this way alhamdulillah

It's unfortunate that people just think hijab and niqab (which are compulsory) but they also need to quote the famous hadith, "man tashabi qawmi fa huwa minhum" 'He who ever imitates a nation, will wake up with them (in the hereafter)'.
The virtues of wearing the amamah (turban) are in all the great hadith collections, our Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam loved the kurta - a long kamees / shirt to mid-shins
don't know why?.. but every time I read any thing about our beloved Nabi (saw) saying's ,tears seem's to always filled my eye's?!...
