Yeah it is a bit depressing, you know what though if they ever come back up to the goldy where i live now, I will be there with bells on.......and so will alot of my mates. lllllllloveeeee these guys, wyley was the best guitarist at the time and Blox was the best maniac I evr saw....

@biggdogg9911- they are still around - there is even an active spys forum if you google for it! Craig runs it.

But Mike is the only remaining member that is playing now. Cliff disappeared 8-9 drummers ago now.

Craig is now back in Aussie, living in Newcastle. He spent 10 odd yrs working as a chef on an oil rig. If you go to Mininova (hotziggitypancakes is his name! well he is a chef) you can legally download their songs, Blox has put them all up there. Hes also on stalkbook and myspace.

@truespyfan that is a shame, they had an impact on me. I always play there music to some of the young guys coming through(including my oldest son 13) and it makes them think.....................Than­k you truespy for putting me onto, mininova and that...I have replenished my spys collection and listening to it with quiet satisfaction.

i bumped into these guys at the british lion hotel in glebe in the late 80's and just happened to be wearing my xenaphobia why? t-shirt, needless to say i got it signed and still have it, looks awesome from 1 of the great oz pub bands

When these guys were in the charts me and my mates used to get dressed up (in our terrible 80s clothing) to see these guys rock out to packed venues around Sydney. Last month they performed at my local pub on the South Coast of NSW on a Sunday evening for free and they even did the chook raffle.

The Spys of today are not the same Spys of the 80's. Only Mike remains. Craig lives in Mexico, and Cliff doesn't want to get back involved. Too much history. It would be great to see the original 3 back together again, but it will take a fair bit to do that.
