there are plenty of people that still feel this way we just have to realize it ourselves to preserve freedom by living for what we know is right and not fighting for what we're told is right.
Poignant and melancholy reminder of a beautiful era we are unlikely to experence again. It is difficult to try to explain it to younger folks. Thanks for posting.
This might be my favorite youtube video. With the record player and the songs melody.... lives up to its name for me - i was thinking and dreamin of things gone by....
Have always thought that this 'wistful' tune was a sort of goodbye to the era. There are a few songs from the psychedelic groups around 69 that have that 'party's over' feeling.
really liked this song got in the predictio ns in Adelaide South Australia but never charted in fact most aussies never got to hear anything of this band I was lucky and got their first three albums love their stuff Barry Melton is a great guitarist
I sat in an old prefab, learning Maths, hormones bounding about an acne-damaged body listening to this - my first country waltz. It still causes a gulp in the throat.
NO dislikes? A Rare thing on the tube.. Hmmmm... "Thinkin' and Dreamin'"

Great song with great words Don't dwell on the past live today it could be our last. What memories we have should be used to improve ALL our futures

Like lots of memories but then, high quality late 60's.

Great songwriter, but I still prefer Twiggy's cover - the only good song she ever recorded.

I utterly agree, fantastic lyrics. But it isn't a surprise, they wrote some pretty staggering lyrics. They've spoiled me musically:)
One of the best bands!
