Btw, the woman who said it's not safe for the baby doesn't know what she's talking about. Vaginal births particularly ones with forceps or ventouse can cause cerebral palsy, or brain haemorrhage or even death. The infant mortality is lower for c section. I'd rather risk some mild respiratory disorder rather than shoulder cystitis or cerebral palsy.

Well, it maybe major abdominal surgery but in the process if I end up avoiding incontinence, tears, rectovaginal fistulas, uterine prolapse etc then I'd rather take the extra 8 weeks to recover. Long term is more important. Who cares about a longer recovery if you get more benefits out of it?

I had 3 natural births, however with my last baby I got pelvic dysplasia. I am pregnant again and have been advised that i have to have a c-section. This really scares me, I really dont want to do it, but have been told that I do not have a choice. It took me nearly a year to recover from the pelvic dysplasia and I dont want to go through that again, but I am so scared. well any way thank you for the info.

bull, bull i guess if you have money than i guess you can just go in and request on but i personly had to have one where im from doctors would rather not give a c-section it is something they ovoid doing! if the dr. gives you a c-section just cus you asked for one that would scare me!

I think which ever way a women decides to give birth, i beleive it is her choice whether thats a c-section or natuaral birth hense im pro choice. Same as i think its a womens choice to breast feed or bottle feed.
