Is this board good for downhill speeds and cruising or is the freeride better?

@darkness1544 the freeride handles speeds best. If you like the Apex and you want to ride at higher speeds then you should look into the Apex 40 with double concave.

If they made a 37 with kick tails it would be perfect. I want the 40 for it's kicks but think it might be too big, but if the 37 had kicktails I would buy it in a heartbeat.

i've had my apex 37 since christmas, i've been having some trouble doing a lot of tricks on the black springs, would the red springs give me a bit more kick to my slides?

Hey you guys, i have a question about wheels, ive been riding for about 2 years now and have gotten good at bombing and carving hills hardcore. I have done some sliding on my bigzig pinks but not true sliding and was just wondering what was a good sliding/carving wheel around 70-75 mm. PLZ hook me up with some help

@DMANGONEFISHIN look for a wheel with rounded edges. The Big Zigs have a squareish edge, making it a bit more difficult to slide. Also, you want a durometer of 80a or higher. Some popular sliding wheels are the Freerides, Flashbacks, Grippins, and the Stimulus wheels.
