  • My uncle did build submarines, in Groton, Connecticut. lol

  • I remember this ride when I was younger. Right around the time they closed it. It's sad because I remember everything about how it looked. It's one of the few old rides I actually remember.

  • its 11:43 pm with 44 more videos to go.........

  • ruined it.

  • @slikkwon I honestly didn't even start the video after reading through the comments. I hate it when people ruin it by telling secrets and having night vision and all of that other crap. I don't understand why some people just can't enjoy the experience.

  • so it can't sink for sure... phew

  • did thay took it out

  • the original sub used to be gray but when did they paint it yellow? was it 1987 or when.

  • @sideslide23 seriously? They changed them in 2005. Pay attention to the video.

  • @nrdsgtbck101 I ment the Sub used to be Gray when they first got it running and later they paint theM to sort of orange yellow, and now the bright yellow.

  • my best friends dad helped re-model the nemo ride!!!!!

    thumbs up for nemo!!

  • 'oldfart387' I feel sorry for your kids that they will grow up with a bigoted small minded person how sad for them! You prick

  • I still can't find the mermaid.... can someone tell me where it is??!?

  • @KgrcProductions im not sure if i saw it exactly because i didnt know it was there, but last time i rode, i caught a glimpse of what looked like a woman carved into the stone but then the sub moved past it. then when i saw the serpent i knew it must have been a carving of a mermaid. it was right before you see the stone serpent.

  • Its a really cool ride but im claustrophobic. :(

  • Nice ride but it needs fastpass, too long of line for a too long ride. I felt claustrophobic after while

  • I agree, the atlantis theme would of looked way better than finding nemo. I don't get it of how that line is still long! T_T Waste of time...

  • -.- oh they sooooo should have went with the Atlantis theme.

  • My grandpa doesn't care. Shut up people! You are not going to get a top rated comment. Lol!

  • sounds like the famliy guy theme

  • My great grandpa didn't build the subs!

thumbs up for my great grandpa!!!

  • @paulk1997 God bless your great grandpa for not building submarines... *Salutes*

  • @paulk1997 he didn't?

  • @paulk1997 okay... thanks for the information...

  • sure SCREWED that up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • i somehow predict another casualty at disneyland soon. Its been almost 10 years since the 2003 one.

  • Atlantis is a HUGE part of my childhood. That movie holds so many memories.

  • The finding nemo version is boring and uninteresting, they should have stuck with the atlantis theme!

  • woah they were gonna make it Atlantis? I wonder wat tht would've been like

  • i remember waiting 2 hours for the updated finding nemo ride haha i was so disappointed srry to all u lovers of the ride but i thought it was a big disappointment

  • i was sad when they took the original subs out i was 9 yrs old. was pretty happy with the nemo version.

  • My Dad helped on the Subs thumbs up fpr my dad

  • What's with the Journey into Imagination music?

  • I remeber the older ones really fun!

  • this ride is super fun, but i feel so closed in >.<. Yet i still go oon it cause its super fun!

  • my grandpa used to work on the ones at disney world

  • @gutarmani1000 I MEAN BUILD

  • @gutarmani1000 my DAD worked on one! (Old sub)

  • The lines for that ride are too damn long

  • Comment removed

  • yep ruined this ride too.

    sighhhh...

  • =( i wen;t and stood in this line next to a really BO smelling, lice ridden, and sicotic lady for an hour but i couldn't stand it! i was going to die. it was like that feeling when your nostrils are dieing.... also i loved the Atlantis movie it is still one of my favorites

  • =( i wen;t and stood in this line next to a really BO smelling, lice ridden, and sicotic lady for an hour but i couldn't stand it! i was going to die. it was like that feeling when your nostrils are dieing....

  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (WDW)>Submarine Voyage>Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

  • i wish disneyland rebuilt this not stupid nemo.

  • I am actually disappointed that the Atlantis one fell through. Frankly, I'm not really that impressed with the newer version of the ride. I miss the days when you had to battle squids and escape underwater mines.

  • @Stroper

Underwater mines were never a part of the original ride. The exploding mines are only from this new Nemo sub voyage.

  • that was great. i learned some new things i didn't know before.

  • why does it begin with Journey Into Imagination music?

  • "...we all live in a yellow submarine..."

  • @My64Guns at a school asians would probably sing We all lived on the yellow submarine. get it ?? Not to be racist or anything

  • @My64Guns Do you play world of tanks?

  • @My64Guns :3 :3

  • does anyone remember a show being on cox 3 maybe a month before the new reopening, there was a program on all about the history of the ride and promoting the new opening. i remember it talked about this one guy who never went to disneyland and still hasn't. anyway, my dvr crash a long time ago and i have been trying to find it ever since. can someone please help me? or does anyone remember the name?

  • don't go on this if you're claustrophobic or you're pretty much just standing in line so you can feel like your dying

  • HIDDEN MICKEY!!!!!! On the subs, in the white paint! haha = 4:25 = do you see it?

  • @0purplepolkadots0 above his hand! its above his right hand!

  • @0purplepolkadots0 i didnt see it.

  • I understand why they didn't use Atlantis. I hated it at first. Now the movie has grown on me. However, I never thought Finding Nemo was worth the hype.

About the ride, though: I've been on it twice and once was enough. The line is ridiculous and it's not that special. :)

  • if any of you imageneers are reading this for intel! GO BACK TO ROBOTS!!! all this cg sucks eggs

  • The old ride was MUCH better. The 3-D animation really just feels like a cop out. :/

  • my dad went on this ride!!!! i wish the old one was there my dad said it was relllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy fun (mermaids)

  • Cool Finding Nemo monorail! Why was Atlantis such an underrated movie? And why couldn;t they use REAL marine plants?

  • @ztslovebird The water in the Finding Nemo ride has to be clear enough to see all of the effects and art and so chlorine is used to keep it clean. Real marine plants die in chlorinated water.

  • @okbass Good point.

  • @ztslovebird Hope I helped. :) Wish I had an answer for your Atlantis question.

  • @ztslovebird I love the Nemo monorail. Better than the ugly purple and orange ones that BREAK DOWN EVERY FIVE MINUTES :)

  • I was very disappointed with the updates. I liked in before you go into the cave because afterward it was like watching a movie.

I liked feeling like I was in a giant aquarium, like I was traveling through the ocean. That was the reason I loved it when I was little.

  • we all live in a yellow submarine

  • this ride scared the crap out of me !!!!! if something goes wrong your soo dead ! there like 50 elbow to elbow people down there !

  • @V3roniicashawt Actually, like most Disney rides, it's pretty safe. Each sub fits 20 people on each side and the cast members that run it are trained on what to do in emergency's. They have plans for pretty much any scenario.

  • @ktwesterna yeah but im sure the cast member would forget any training if an emergency should arise...i'll tell you this, if i were on a sinking disney sup i would not trust my life to a 9 dollar an hour ride attendant

  • @mtakenM It would be hard to sink a submarine that is sitting on a track. The top of the sub never goes under the surface of the water. If the ride breaks down, they can just open the hatches and let you out.

  • I was their opening day and waited 7 long hours to go on it and i think it was worth it!

  • D: I would have loved an Atlantis ride! That's one of their best movies!

  • my great grandmpa helped build the subs!!!

thumbs up for my great grandpa!!!

  • @tippytrain11 oh dearr lool

  • @tippytrain11 your great grandpa is kickass.

  • @tippytrain11 how nice

  • @tippytrain11 my great great grand father help make the haunted mansion! thumbs up form happy haunts!?!?!

  • @tippytrain11

Orlynao? My grandpa designed most of the light parade floats, my mother helped build them, and my gandmother made suits for walt disney :3

  • @tippytrain11 thumbs down bitch

  • @joeisdaman190 Fuck you you would have half the rides if his great grandpa didn't build it!

  • i was on that last wednesday at disney land

  • waited 2 hours to ride this ride.... wasnt worth it I: and it was hot i could have been on something like splash mountain!

  • yes, to me disney Atlantis would be perfect! this finding nemo is nice but too kiddy...

  • @ROSE911GUNDAM your so right! Atlantis would be great. i can just see it... "IN THE LAND OF TOMORROW, WE FIND ATLANTIS!!" it would be awesome. Just what they need to change the comic-ish tomorrowland back to the science tomorrowland! :D ps - im NOT talking about the movie. dot. im talking about the undersea city!

  • Nice to finally know that they may have had some legitimate reasons to shut the ride down (the scenery having to be constantly repainted and starting to deteriorate, and the nasty diesel engines).

  • @M0US3P0T4TO They should have had the Diesels run on Vegetable Oil.

  • i was there wen this ride opened i dint go on it do cause the line was too long

  • In my opinion, Atlantis, and Treasure Planet were two of the most underrated films Disney ever made.

  • @evergreach2346 those and Beverly Hills Chiwawa. And theres this one new movie released on DVD? looked depressing....

  • FUCKING LOVE DISNEYLAND

  • wen u get inside u r already in water so it does not go down wen i went inside there were airholes i was scared

  • i think atlantis would have been beter

  • It is pretty cool how they made stainglass for the plants!

  • toy story 3 the best movie of 2010

    18 june

  • my dad worked on the air conditioning for this ride

  • i actually went there few months after it opened and i remember the submarine monrail and i had to wait 5 hours do to 3 hour wait and 2 hour break down

  • We all live in a yellow submarine...

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • theres a part where some guy says this shit!!!! lmfao at 2:32-2:33

  • I remember when this was all dry and rocky. The subs were sitting on trailers!

  • well atlest none of the subs has gone to scraps so they got new powersource which uses electric motor instead of Diesel.

  • Ah... the song at the end brought back memories...

  • you're right. and if your cloustrophobic this is not the ride for you.

  • A few years back we went to disneyland when they were "imaginereeing" this. We rode the monorail to get a peak inside. Then the next trip we were, unintentionaly, there the day it opened. The line was over5 hours in wait.

  • You wated 10 hours for something!?! I now have more respect for kids these days!

  • When the lagoon flooded Tomorrow Land, I thought of it as a simulation of the future + global warming.

  • the mermaids were raped by the pirates and commited sucide

  • I dont get it!! living in La, and having a anual pass, I have been there so many times trying to spot the Mermaid tribute.. The cast members tell me to look at the sea weed at the end, and I have watched this video several times.. I dont get it, where is she?

I DO see the sea monster, Thats so cool,

  • wat park r they in r they in florida coz im sure i neva saw dem but am goin paris nxt yur do they have them in paris coz i wudnt mind goin on them lool serious thoo

  • disneyland CA

  • no it's the one in California

  • where's the mermaid?

  • the mermaids are dead, they've been all captured by pirates.

  • I want 20K back.

  • WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE

  • They are remaking that movie (Disney is)

  • They better not fuck it up.

  • YEAH BEATLES!!!!

  • i remember the first time i was there, the monorail driver let me drive!!! there was limited space so she let us sit in the cabin. it was so cool....

  • I haven't been on these subs since 1992

  • uh duh it was lost ride returning i don't doubt it i wish they would of made it at orlando instead epcot has sfinding nemo if an disney imagineer is reading this please bring this ride bavck in florida

  • I loved Atlantis...I wish disney would have used it somewhere...not that nemo isnt great. But I can't believe people ignored such a great movie completely...I don't even hear a whisper about it in disney. and thats too bad.

  • this dude has a boring voice...

  • Cool

  • we have never gone on this ride because its a 60 min wait

  • I went on it twice, it was worth the wait.

  • dont go on it its so boring i fell asleep

  • hey don't even do Fast pass yeat for this subs so I never got a chance to go on these brand new subs

  • trust me ur not missing anything great...

  • Why are you playing the Journey into Imagination theme on a submarine ride? :P

  • They should made the rails go lower so it goes under water like a really sub

  • Haha,.. "when the film underperfomred" .. well said!

  • @woodywoodsen Aw, I think Atlantis is a FANTASTIC film though. It's obscenely underrated in my opinion.

  • @woodywoodsen i liked the movie

  • i had 2 wait

    a long time 2

    go on this ride

  • do you really think they care about safety there has been gas leaks during christmas of last year right next door to the nemo ride they wanted to wait till after christmas to fix it so the gas kept on leaking for weeks the anahiem fire dept knew about it and did nothing it just shoes you that they have money to pay any one off

  • When I went on this water was leaking from the ceiling ahahaha

  • I did not care for this ride. Some of the elements were cool. The capacity is horrible. I had to wait about 45 minutes.

  • Well I guess that should be enough for them to shut down the attraction... right?

  • i had to wait longer

  • the best time to go to Disneyland is on the weekdays of September.

  • also about a week before christmas thats when i went at it was almost a ghost town

  • really, usually Christmas holliday, they are always over crouded, because when we went to Orlando 20 years ago at Epcot and WDW they were very jam packed.

  • well thats WDW the more popular park

    X)

  • yah longest lines 5min its asome

  • Tony Baxter is the Man! great imagination and all-around nice guy.

  • i love this ride!

  • one thing that i think is there playing the figment song for a finding nemo ride

  • movie**

  • i wish they wouldve done the atlantic theme. i LOVED that ride!!

  • Hey the music at the beginning is "one little spark"

  • HabboAddictNumberOne!!!! I agree!!!! I had to wait three hours to go on the Nemo ride!!! I found out, it was like 4 minutes long!!!!! I thought it would be like 10 or somethin'!!!! ANd you went the day it came out, I went the year after it came out!!!! SOme parts were good if I look on the bright side.

  • it is 10 min

  • Is that the one at California?? Because it looks just like it with the monorail and the madahorn.

  • yes it is. i rode them back in 1990 something and was offended when i saw topless mermaids.

  • Yes it is.

  • walt disney would be flipping pancakes in his grave if he saw that

  • good or bad??

  • what does that mean lol

  • i know a cast member at disneyland that had sex with a mechanic on a sub let them put that vid on the ride

  • eh, now i think disney only wants to advertise and promote things.

  • I was there for the opening of this...It was kind of sucky, because we had to wait 3 hours to get on,and dylan and cole sprouse were there...
