  • Sure there are carnivores who find abortion bad but eating the bodies of creatures is a must for survival, whether you are eat meat or plants, your body is taking nutrition form a once living and breathing organism. It would be totally irrational of a vegetarian to think that eating meat is a unethical practice. If you are a vegetarian because of that reason you might as well be eating meat also.

  • ahimsa does not exclude. pro-life meat eaters are hypocrites the same way pro-abortion vegans are... they both cause harm to what they consider as "inferior" beings. love all. protect the defenseless.

  • Make sure you don't wash your hands. Doing so will result in the murder of thousands of bacteria. Where's the ahimsa there?

  • The ethics of abortion are a little different because the embryo/fetus/baby/etc doesn't live in a vacuum; it's dependent upon the body of the mother. Saying the embryo/fetus/baby/etc is alive and should be considered in the ethical equation is one thing. Saying its rights trump those of its mother is something else entirely.

  • Jeff McMahan ROCKS!!!!
