  • @Missyplaymate3 Thanks Rachel :)

  • Excellent receipe, am going to make this tonight for my men who need extra calories because of Ramadan.

  • @amblake01 Thanks!

  • call me weird, but i like the over mixed mashed potato salad. thats the way everyone i know makes it. I actually dont like it the RIGHT way. lol

  • @VanMarq89 I was going to say the same thing, I actually deliberately make my potato salad more mashed than cubed. It's the only way I know how - with chopped dill pickles, olives and eggs with mayonnaise, mustard (yellow or dijon) and then poured in dill pickle juice for that acidity you were talking about :) Salt and pepper to taste, of course.

  • @sweetrevelation Yeah yours sounds good too. There are probably thousands of potato salad recipes out there. Everyones taste buds can be satisfied from the type of potato used to what type of ingredients go into it. Enjoy!

  • @VanMarq89 No, it's not weird. People have different taste. Like I said we ate it but I also like it this way. No worries ;)

  • Great advice in the end...i cooked ribs last night in the oven.....For about 2.5-3hrs hours. I was already worried about how to cook them long enough.

My son fell sick in the middle of the night, vomit everywhere. I felt so bad.

  • @MsJaizii Aaaww sorry to hear your baby was sick. But you cook the ribs long enough if u cooked them for up to 3 hrs. Cook most meats to an internal temperature of about 155 to 160 degrees. Remebr, it takes foodborne illness anywhere from 6 to 24 hours to set in which means that it could have been something else he ate. That's why I did this lesson on keeping food to temperature once cooked and put foods away after a meal don't let them just hang out on the stove for hours and hours.

  • I get it evenly mixed by combining all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl and then mix it.

  • @AuntieBrooklyn Yep I have recipes where I use that method too :)

  • Great tips!

  • Carolyn, I agree with your camera man, bacon fat is better...lol. Thanks for another fantastic post. I will be trying this next weekend.

  • I love your videos. PS where do I find that diamond seasoning? I've never seen it.

  • @skottmalaise1 It's available online and the stores that are listed on my channel page, if you happen to live in Los Angeles. I also put all of the links in the description box. Thanks soooo much :)

  • I love seeing your smiling face.. you're so pretty and vibrant!! Alllllright, now onto the FOOD! LOL!! I love potato salad. - Where do you get the ideas for your recipes? I mean I know alot of what you cook are things that viewers request or things that have gone down through your family, but is that it? Or do you create new dishes? (I hope that wasn't confusing lol) - LOL @ you rolling your eyes at the mashed potato salad ahaha!! - Good idea on food temp. All WARM food at a BBQ is annoying lol.

  • @Shyloh8 LOL, I get ideas from everywhere, family recipes, yes things I randomly conjure up, my take on things I've had in restuarants-cafes-burger joints-fine dining-street food-etc, and viewers request. There's inspiration everywhere. Be willing to try different things and step out of our own food culture so we can experience new ones...or better yet make some of them collide. Fusion works for me!
