Amazing tutorial. I like to go on a jump map before joining any lobby or pug. Unlike what people think, you can achieve major improvement on your solly game just by practicing various jumping techniques you find on jump maps. Not only does it make your a more agile player but it really familiarizes you with the rocket's trajectory and reduces that room for error when shooting at an opponent.

Well, at first i was a little put off before the video began by saying COMPETETIVE players don't know what they're talking about. Despite you spelling that wrong, i figured english is a second language. let it slide. Then you say to hold crouch on EVERY jump. There are certain rocket jumps that don't require crouch, and holding it will only give you fall damage that was unneeded.

Contrary to popular belief, there are a lot of people who jump because they like to jump, and literally do not give a single fuck about competitive tf2, myself included.

Sup. I've been jumping for a LONG time and mostly the only jumps I am having trouble with "bop" jumps. It's basically where you skim the edge of a ledge very closely and you go flying forward. Similar in respects to the skip jump but no rocket is involved.

One of the harder red jump on jump_littleman_a3 is a good example is the hardest level I find out of the whole map. Any tips?

jump_adventure 3 map first part eh so so but when it comes to making that large gap with the wall jumping *pulling hair out* whats left anyways. I guess i am not getting the mechanics of this type of jump however getting this far is better then i had hoped so ill take it.

You took a great amount of care in explaining everything one would need to complete this skill. However being a player from the beta of TF2 i think i am just too old to learn these new tricks.

I just spent like 2 hours working on the jump map and got to the 3rd one before i almost blew a fuse. Sometimes i wonder why i put so much effort towards these sort of things. Btw i did end up using the sticky crouch script just to see if it made things any easier and i did use the rocket jump script just to test as it was what i used in the past. Why i suck

I noticed you were fairly brief in your explanation of the skip-jumping technique. It seems like this is the one that builds your speed the fastest with the fewest shots. You did not mention which keys to press while performing this method, or whether or not you should press keys for it. I am having some trouble learning this one, could you help me out by going into the specifics please? It would help tremendously :)

@alphabetEF u dont need to press any keys except staying ducked its all about the speed and angle u fly towards the ground. fly low as possible . the moment before u touch the floor make a flick forward :)

Nice video, but when you say "competitive player have no clues" it's quite retarded. Competitive player don't waste so much time in jump maps, they'r trying to improve their jump infront of another players, using strafing not as usual like you etc. It's way different than what this tutorial shows. I'm pretty sure, you don't need all of this in competitive scene...

Mouse acceleration definitely is a bad idea as you still need aim for juggling and airshot. Sensitivity might be a better idea.

Do you actually like let go of w momentarily as you spin or do you press the other keys (a/d) as you spin back and shoot behind your legs?

Trick jumpers use enormous amounts of health to do jumps that are not neccesary maps like badlands. No soldier in their right mind would use more than one wall jump at a time as a tactic during a game.

When it's a flat place I can't keep jumping at all.

wouldnt u get headshoted whil your doing this and its only effective with the rocket jumper cuz u can not take that many hits with a damaging rocket launcher plus all thoughs hitsare to fast to take out your wshot gun inbetween to hit people, so its not really usefull but im sure with all this knowledge u can figure a way to use them to your advantage in a battle and only at times necassary and strategic soooo your a pro gratz, not relaly complete use in a nnormal fight but still

But at 1:24, either you have REALLY high mouse sensitivity or you bound your "look-left/right" with the strafe keys. I mean, I don't have that much room to move my mouse and I probably won't like the feeling of turning 180 for moving my mouse only an inch!
