This song is touching because this month I have to pick what I am going to do my life.
I have always wanted to become a singer but if i dont reach that dream I will have to let go of my dreams. I really hope you guys could just take a moment and stop by my channel to support me. I also have wanted to become a singer because it was my dad's wish and if i don't reach it, i will feel like I turned my back on him but I also want to do what God wants me to do.
i recently broke up with my fiancet bc God said to let him go so i can be soley God's, he's a got such a heart for God and people and there were no issues which honestly makes everything harder, so 1) please keep me in your prayers, and 2) i have to say this song has truly helped me through things, whenever i want to take things into my own hands i sing this song :))

I'm not prosperous, in fact Jesus didn't teach anything about prospering in the sense that Jeremiah 29:11 is about. I do believe God has a plan for us, but that verse is a proof-text to try and snare people into thinking they're of God. It's about Israel, not you or I--to twist it out of it's context would make many poor Christians think they're not Christians. Jesus said to seek riches or to be rich is a snare, and many will not enter life because of it.(1 Tim 6:9, Matt 19:24)
@droptozro Jeremiah 29:11 is about God's people. The Israelites were promised restoration after being freed from captivity. God will do the same for us. After you go through a trial or test, God can and will restore what you lost. I know from experience. So no God wasn't talking to Christians then, but the lesson can still apply to us today.
I liked that explanation actually, you actually understand it means through trials one can be restored. Job is a perfect example of that. I just think to universally apply it to all Christians is dangerous, many twist this verse just to think they can get rich off God and if they're not prospering that means God is not on their side. It's not the verse I have a problem with, it's the people behind it using to sell the prosperity "gospel." God bless
