This lesson is not really teaching anything about Angus' style.. the vibrato is way different that Angus does. its not short, usually his vibrato is long and drawn out. And his pick attack is not short and fast, only in some instances. usually its just fast picking and he plays the same note 2 or 3 times fast, like double picking the same note. This lesson was not a good lesson for Angus, sorry man. You're a good player, but maybe you shouldn't give lessons.

one of my first teachers back in th 80's used to point at notes and quiz us. What note is that. he would do maybe 10 notes each lesson twice a week. His idea being if u know every note by sight then u will know where to go when someone says play it. If U try that I guarantee after a while u will know every note on the fret board. Also an easy way is to remember relative minor chords and know where they are in all positions of the fretboard.

Not quite. At first he would play notes and get us to figure which note is was by watching. We would work it out and tell him. As we got better he would say ok play me an 'F' We would do it then he would so ok play me another 'F' Until we played all of them on the fretboard. He did this every lesson. After a while we knew all notes on the fretboard. He could say play a certain scale and we knew the root instantly. It doesn't take long to start getting it.

you need to know pentatonic scales to do that buddy, you can find them on youtube, or what i recomend is google it, he was playing an Am pentatonic scale, so thats what you wanna search for if you wanna play in the same key as him

I cant fully understand your question, but if you want to play a note an octave higher than you just need to play the note thats 12 threats lower than the original note you played, on most guitars it is marked on the neck where the first 12 threats end. In other words if for example you play the first string on open, witch is the E note than 12 threats lower will also be an E only an octave higher, or if you want an octave lower, then play the sixth string on the same threat as the first string.
