I found it real hard to follow explanations in this set of lectures and had to refer to Wiki every 5 minutes. Its got lots of information, which could probably suit someone who's trying to recap what they already know, but for someone has no point of reference (which I thought I did btw) - pick something else.
Prof. Anshul Kumar: Do you think it would be possible to make an introductory course to these series... or maybe suggest another series before taking on this course.
Personally, I have enough background information. I can't really point you to a specific resource, because I have many, but I would go ahead and maybe look up "homebrew CPU" on Google. From there, you can find a lot of information on the designing of a comptuer from hardware to ISA to software, etc. I found those to be useful.
