  • 1stly, LOVE your videos mate. Fannnnntastic!

My comment is... Since learning this version of Wildwood Flower, my success rate with the opposite sex has tripled. : )

  • Which fret is that clamp on? Do you have to play that tune with the clamp or is it optional?

  • Who r the nuts who go thru clikin dislike on everything? its a guy showing u how 2 pik a tune, they didnt pay 4 it. move on if u dont want 2 follow it. they should pull that function it could be a video telling them where 2 find a million dollars n some fool would clik dislike

  • hello do u do tab for this plzz is yes or no could you email me the tab or email me that ou dont dont to tab at stephenwelch2010@hotmail.co.uk

  • This was one of the songs my dad could play on guitar. Listening to it makes me cry, but it still sounds really great.

  • wow man, i know how hard it is to do it slow like that,, great playing .

  • a nice rendition

  • Bravo Sean! Cool videos on your website.

    I love flatpicking!!

  • ahhhhi love mne some pickin good jhob bro

  • nice guitar

  • Superb music, played by a champion, thanks for the video.......

  • Very well done. Thank you so much.

  • thats an awesome job best i have seen. how long you been playing? sounds like a martin

  • I love this stuff too and would love to have the tabs also

  • you need to explain it to me. It's a great song but the thing is it somewhat helps but I'm not really sure how to put it all together. If you could make a video to do such it'd be appreciated.

  • WOW!!!

  • I love this style a lot. An excellent video tutorial!

  • Thanks for the great post.

  • Great stuff

  • Sehr schön!

  • Really awsome.

  • What fret is the capo on

  • 2nd = Key of D

  • sounds great. love it with the crosspicking.

  • If you play C with the capo on the second fret.. then you are playing in the key of D

  • You are playing well!

  • i love you

  • I think the crosspicking adds too much to that song, but you play it well nonetheless.

  • Thanks! I learned to play that song the way you show! Its GREAT for someone scared of the song! Its not hard if you can see it!!

  • Can you convert this to Tab and post?

    Thanks ever so much

  • A very nice clear, well-articulated arrangement. Thanks. KEN.

  • I can cross pick this song in a different version in the key of C, but do you have the tabs for this and where the capo is?

  • Simply beautiful. We play the tin whistle, so we have no real need to learn the guitar, but it's definitely worth listening to. Thanks for posting.

  • Sean, I want to thank you for your GREAT clear, concise videos--you're a great player and teacher!!!!

Song suggestion: I bet you can play "The Girl I Left Behind Me" and "I Am a Pilgrim" extremely well!

Forgive me if you have already posted those.

    C

  • please please please please please post a vid teaching me how to play that OR please email me the tabs at holysk8tr14 at yahoo dot com

  • nice

  • What fret was the capo on?

  • 2nd

  • Ok thank you.

  • Damn! for a minute there, ..very informative but I dont have a problem with working out the chords, its the Frailing right hand technique I find difficult, I think I have a Plectrum in a draw somewhere

  • Great Job!!!

  • Great. With the capo on the second fret - you are playing it in the Key of D. I really enjoy this rendition of the classic.

  • i thought putting a capo on the 2nd fret made the key in

    A..

  • You are correct, but only if using the "G-C-D" chord progression. Playing in "C" with a capo on 2 puts you in the key of D.

  • I hope you check out my version of the Wildwood Flower. I have it in the Key of C and then modulate it to the Key of G

  • Very helpful, thank you. Can you please share what guitar that is (hd28lsv?) and what strings you used? Thanks.

  • The guitar is a Santa Cruz Tony Rice model with D'Addario EJ17 strings.

  • good job man come to see my version of wildwood flower! : )

  • I hate when people don't want to share how to play songs. this is so informative. thank you!

  • Excellent Video, Big Thank You for this really helped ,e. Wish there were more people like you :)

  • That was awesome!

  • That was simply beautiful! Some of us players tend to put too much emphasis on speed and quantity of notes played. What you are playing is not very complicated; BUT, the way you are playing it is clean and clear and dead-on accurate. It just sounds honest and real. Man, I'll take that over hot-shot showboating any day.

BTW what kind of acoustic are you playing, the sound is awesome.

  • I need a view of your right hand since...well, it's doing all the work. :)

  • Oh no it isn't, the left hand is doing the main work, in any case leave it running a while and a there's a shot of the right hand.

  • Yeah, I love that song too. John Sebastian does a nice version.

  • what tuning is it?

  • Standard tuning capo on the 2nd.

  • I love the song Wildwood Flower, thank you for sharing that!

  • oh man this is great thank you so fuckn much

  • the cross picking stuff is nice! always wanted to learn that style.

  • very impressive, thanks for sharing

  • I use H.264, 30fps at 400x300

  • I like the way you show the close up of the fingerboard, then the actual strings you picked. Your video is super clear. What do you use for settings when uploading?
