I gotta say that the scoring done by Andrea Guerra really adds to the various scenes in the movie. The music is what pushes me past the point of my eyes actually tearing up to shedding a tear or two. I love this movie. Definitely Will Smith's best drama in my opinion.

Well, unlike most, I like to see this as -not the pursuit of happiness-but of the continuation of the monetary system in which those who are at the top act like gods who rein over a monetary system that benefits the rich elite and who cares if he's African American, Latin, or a martian. I haven't seen this movie in 2 years. I'd say I'm a tough guy, I don't cry often... but this scene that I just watched, well I started to cry as soon as it started playing. And then when the guy said "wear one tomorrow, cause tomorrows your first day"... well I just started balling. This movie is hands down one of my favorite's. It's one of the most moving, powerful movies that I've ever seen and it carries such a strong message! Kudos to Will Smith, what an excellent job, and to his son too!!

Will Smith's best performance ever. But the idea of the movie is a cruel joke. Fact of the matter is, 99.999% of the people who struggle the way Chris Gardner did will never ever succeed. And even to this day, after all he went through to make something of himself, Chris Gardner still has trouble catching a cab. (youtube it) What a slap in the face to human dignity, but not much can be done about it.
