imo this version could use a bit more thought with the chorus. and the rest is really interesting and convincing with this minimal arrangement. also tuning the instrument could do good to the the overall effect, but i'd say that's a detail, and i see it's four years ago ;). but maybe, some remake?
I can't stop watching your videos..."softly and tenderly" was first...now I'm hooked...just what I need...another addiction! lol! I've blown 2 hours listening to your beautiful voice. Thanks!
wow very cool! i love your voice!! i'd be honored to play guitar behind your vocs. i do have one little suggestion tho, you may want to get a pop-filter for your mic (unless you are using it to capture your guitar too--in which case please just ignore). thanks for sharing! got a new sub!
This is a great rendition. Have you heard Darren Hayes (ex-Savage Garden) version though? It's one of my all time favourite pieces of music. A great emotional vocal perfomance.
Heard this first in Say Anything on my first date. I put this song on every mix tape, and CD I made for girls. Honestly, I think Peter Gabriel's In Your Eyes is his only great song. I'm so glad you didn't do the tribal voices at the end.
I love this version of this song. I love the way you did the chorus and your voice is so strong with such vibrato, yet a beautiful softness. And to top it all off your a beautiful girl (not a P/U I'm married).
This is the first cover of "In Your Eyes" that I actually like, and it's wonderful! Thank you for sharing this great version of a classic! Whatever your hopes are as a musician, I'm sure they'll come true--you sound great all the way around!
Very nice, better than the original. You sound as though you're about ten professional vocal lessons from a recording contract. I'd like to hear a U2 cover or something Celtic.
You have that kinda of gravel-like voice (I hear Peter baths in cold water before recording) that Peter has, which makes the song fantastic. Well Done
pure perfection. I can never wait to hear your next song on YouTube, and you NEVER disappoint me with your choice of music. I can't say enough that I want a CD. I never tire of listening to your voice.
A beautiful and simple arrangement, and a really fine performance. It's great to have this song presented as a song, rather than as a production. It just affirms the quality of the original.

One of your lesser efforts, mademoiselle;
yet so much more decent, more dignified,
than the unspeakable video by the-more-famous-guy
(whom, as always, you generously credit) --
God be with you, m'lass .....

Peter Gabriel himself would get shivers listening to your earnest rendition. It becomes like a hymn captured by your golden voice. Lovely... ~Jon
