@aluluei Believe it or not, it's actually spelled Ganmen. Some dubs changed it to gun since, you know, kind of makes sense. Guns and Mechas and all that. Also, if you pay attention here... he says "Ganmen" here, not "Otõto" (Little brother). If there was something to point at is the dub's slightly different translation. (not that it's wrong or bad)

@UltraWing1 I wouldn't say that; my complaint with the original is that most of the people get so high and screechy when they yell. This is especially shown with Viral, who has two completely different voices for talking and yelling. Another example is right here, with Kamina's yelling sounding so much different than his regular speaking voice. They're going for over the top, but it's kind of *too* over the top when your eardrums burst because someone yells in a show.

Personally I kinda prefer simon over kamina, just because really if it wasn't for Simon being able to control Gurren, not much of this really would have been possible, but it was kamina who brought the spirits up, and encouraged him, even when he was dead.
