  • DP is the original, DT and DB are covers? What is this sorcery :D

  • I love'em for trying, it's just not my thing. Not bad overall though.

  • lol one of categories are rap and blues rock >.<

  • FUCKING PERFECT CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS ZOMBIES THEME MUSIC. yeaaaa like if u agree

  • any one know who does the backing vocals in this song? it sounds like Bruce Dickinson but there are so many vocalists trying to sound like him these days I can never tell :/ pls respond

  • @LuvettPieofDoom snowy shaw, but i still think vortex is better.

  • anyone know who does the background

  • So many haters, so few people appreciating music.

  • lol "rap" on tags

  • loool I laughed at the start but then I was like "this shit is awesome!"

  • @arturoblacksabbath A mi me encantó :P

  • such a sellout whores... they should be called "pop metal" now, i am waiting when they will unite wth that hermaphrodite Gaga.

  • perfect borgir...

  • Purple Borgir.

  • Dimmu Purple

  • Sounds perfect.

  • Dimmu Purple ! Great cover !

  • check it out the work of "crome division" the alternative band of Shagrat ...it´s HEavy metal !!! with some covers...and he ain´t lost the Black Metal essence !!!

  • @tubasworld Heavy metal and Black Metal are two different things...Entirely...

  • @tubasworld Shaggy lost black metal essence when he and DB released Abrahadabra, its nothing but total commercial garbage to me. There is not that overhelming power and intensity anymore, like in Progenies for example, any older song is total masterpiece and he just lost it all.

  • cool cover !!! amazing ! , D B has not lost they escence making this cover it s a tribute for a GRATE band as Deep Purple !!! ... good song !

  • I think none makes cover like CoF and Dimmu but this one sucked pretty good

  • Snowy Shaw is great ! But..but..v-o-r-t-e-x :( *cries*

  • watch?v=XDAKb0Iyy9w

  • it proves that dimmu borgir guys are really talented musicians =))

  • :/

  • Wow!! Love this ,Thank You

  • This is the only cover of this song I've listened to so far that has almost the same groove given by Ian Paice in the original version by Deep Purple. Let's face it.

Dream Theater are one of the most technical bands ever, but that wasn't enough to allow them to make a good cover of this song, because, despite the perfect technique and the fact that the notes were all the same as the original ones, Mike Portnoy's always been as technical as static and grooveless (I like him and his touch anyway).

  • Dimmu Borgir is one of the few bad who didnt changed theyr stile too much ( or at all ) trough the years

  • @angel95bg Dimmu didn't change their style through the years? Have you ever listened the first albums? lol

  • @MoonlightFlowersfans i meant that it isnt changed too much like the style of ther band not that it didnt changed at all , and no I didnt listened to it...

  • @angel95bg sry but what?? :P haha

  • ...great cover!!!! ......powerful!!!!!!

  • Very strong cover!

  • Snowy Shaw's voice reminds me of an old man who wants to party.

  • F**** awesome!!

  • As far as I am concerned, no one but Deep Purple can sing this.

  • Hammond B3 thru a Leslie.. Epic before epic was a household term \m/

  • is the vocalist the guy from jorn in some parts?

  • @C0bfan666 The two singers are Shagrath(of course) and Snowy Shaw!

  • listened to this for about 5 times in a row

  • Seeing Deep Purple live was epic. Listening to a great cover.... More epic.

  • I like more Dimmu Borgir Version than Deep Purple... :))) I like Shagrath Voice Very much!!

  • is it me or there are two singers here????BTW, this is one of my most faves DP's songs and i like this cover.

  • This is one of my favourite D.,P.-Songs. And this version is awesome, although I usually don't like Dimmu Borgir.

  • There are bands that would have stayed with the status quo and made it sound like the original. Dimmu Borgir takes it a step farther.

  • Dimmu's stuff just keeps getting better.

  • 2:17 is just .. wow .. love it!

  • Fucking perfect, i've also always loved both bands and this is my favourite song of by deep purple, one of the greatest covers of all time, THANKS!

  • It's kinda.... unique

  • more this kinda stuff thxbye

  • Not bad at all. I expected something a lot rawer, but this still keeps the spirit of the original.

  • Deep Borgir

  • @ALBslayer666 That's...Deep...:3

  • @ALBslayer666 Or Dimmu Purple...

  • Wow!!!

  • great cover.... AWSOME!!!!

  • THIS COVER IS MOTHERFUCKING AWSOME!!!!

  • i have a metal version of this with more heavy riff..feel free to tune into my channel..sorry for spamming..

  • Dimmu cover songs pretty well :P

    Rock`n Roll

  • it does sound so NOT like db, but i really like it!

  • Can someone tell me if one of the singers, is vocalist in Therion?? They sound very similar.

  • @DrAkEnOw

Yes, it's mr Snowy Shaw :)

  • This cover is a fucking wonder!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this cover of Perfect Strangers is fucking awesome !!!!!

  • EEEEEPIIIIC!

  • hell yeah...

  • holy shit dimmu covers a deep purple song? hmm....FUCKING EPIC!

  • 666 likes..... nice. Great Song, Dimmu Borgir did a great job with this song.

  • One of the best interpretations I've heard, given the style of DB.

  • 3:50 - 5:02 <3

  • see? u dont ONLY need to listen to metal. it is good to hear more genres (if u like them) but anyway, i hear mostly metal and by mostly i hear 99%

  • That growling shite i could do without on this specific tune !

  • Very impressed.

  • dimmu borgir and korn together go tour ı think dimmu borgir like korn and jonathan davis

  • vocals sounds good to me.... and yes its "Jonathan Davis" from Korn not so surprisingly since they toured together and Jonathan Davis is a fan of Dimmu Borgir.

  • @666ASPEN666 no where does it say thats who it is

  • maybe without this vocals it would sound great

  • Vortex make the difference.

  • Perfect Cover

  • still good cover.

  • and i have to order the album with this on from america with $32.50 shipping...yeah fuck that.

  • @Porkchoppa76 Vocals are worse than gay. He recorded his singing whilst sitting in the toilet!

  • Well... if people actually LIKE this cover, who am I to tell them otherwise?

  • MIND!!! FUCKING!!! BLOWN!!!

  • Snowy Shaw is doing the clean vocals, not Shagrath.

  • fuck this is the best fucking cover of a song i heard in my life ! and i like dimmu and deep purple

  • Shag's clean vocals sounds like Ozzy Osbourne mixed with Axl Rose.

  • @zidredz Not Shag, "Snowy Shaw – bass guitar, backing vocals, clean vocals (on tracks 4, 6, 9 & "Perfect Strangers" (Deep Purple cover))"

  • foshalom

  • @dddimmudani Látom, azért ennél is hasonlóan kedves hozzászólásokat produkálsz...

  • I like this version (only the music, voice not at all) at least, is better than Dream Theater version

  • Comment removed

  • Never thought this song could be covered in a way like this, but turns out this is fucking awesome. A lovely song you have here.

  • uuhh esta bien chingoon! lmml yeah !!

  • Deep Purple is one of my favorite bands and Dimmu Borgir too. This cover is really special, it reveal a different side of Dimmu Borgir sound. I like it :).

  • Dimmu borgir is awesome, who dislike just don´t make stupid comments...

Who sings aint Shagrath, is Snowy Shaw, known on therion.

Thanks for existing metal ppl !!!!

  • pudrance dimmu borgir de mierda

  • @TheFucknoise pudrite vos invérbe !

  • if anyone had sadden to me that dimmu borgir will cover a song from deep purple i would say: are you nuts! but this is unbelievable fucking good great cover

  • dude, dont ever cover cover deep purple.dimmu borgir is so gay

  • why is there rap in the tags ? o_O

  • One of the best cover i even heard in my life

  • oh yeah that's the stuff! Snowy Saw ex-vocalist from Therion...

  • Nice!!!....

  • They did a great job on this one.

  • Never really listened to this band before... this song is brutal in its own right for that time. This cover of it is unique.

  • Super lan

  • xD this is a freakin epic cover \,M,/

  • great song, but i don´t like this version.

  • BBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUU SH******

  • Well done! great cover, so cool.

  • why'd they have to get rid of Vortex =[

  • @HandheldTundra Because he'd stopped putting any effort into the band.

  • I love this kind of music! If you don't like it ludekk then I suggest you go back to your rap crap. You won't see me on there leaving ugly comments on that "music", I don't care to even go there to listen to it. It makes me want to puke! LOL!

  • Masterpiece...

  • Oh a see a hope there. Maybe if the guy started to actually sing... (there you have the real reason for black metal's existence - they can't find decent singers, so they growl). LOL

  • @ludekkZmrd ICS Vortex disagrees :)

  • Shagrath sounds like a mixture of Jonathan Davis and Bruce Dickinson \m/ lol

  • @superdrummerboy1028 It's Snowy Shaw btw...:)

  • @superdrummerboy1028 Its not shagrath, its snowy shaw

  • I`ll never believe this is shagrath

  • lol , you all need to compare this ''epic'' (lmao) song to ''Kings of the Carnival Creation'' , you will that this is fucking shit actually...........

  • who gives a fuck if you dont like it? go listen deep purple then

no matter what genre it is , just enjoy the fucking music

  • SOUNDS LIKE KAMELOT VOCAL!

  • @19zildjian93 Actually, the guy doing vocals with Shagrath is Snowy Shaw, who did Shagrath's vocals on March of Mephisto for Kamelot's One Cold Winter's Night DVD.

  • >.>

    <.<

I would honestly love to hear them cover the final countdown

  • @Dollhousedecay i agree that would be awesome xD

  • Sorry to say-Like the original far more than the cover :(

  • I like Deep Purpule and Dimmu too but this is not a good combination

  • @Hunntroll I agree, this isn't good. This is SUPERB!

  • This is a feel-good song with beautifully crisp sound production.

  • @ShalomGerusalemme

    WTF!?!? You're Fucking Epic..man!

    ahahaha...We're destinated to hell?? ahaha

    I'm on stairway to heaven!

  • shit man really does sound like davis!

  • awesome drums

    Rock On!!!!!!

  • can you believe Deep Purple covered this?!

  • @666MetalNeverDies666 Deep Purple didn't cover it. This band covered Deep Purple. Why Deep Purple would cover this band is beyond me.

  • @FICKm3inLEBEN It was a joke :P

  • @666MetalNeverDies666 i think u mean they covered deep purple... dp was the original

  • @tdg7892 It was meant as a joke.

  • @666MetalNeverDies666 vice versa

  • Sounds like Maiden (clean vocals)

  • No offense to Dimmu Borgir, but given the style of Deep Purple and the original version of this song, I wasn't sure what to expect. But this is fucking epic.

  • Dimmu means dark or foggy, and Borgir means castle or fortress, so you can call them Dark Castle, or my fav: FOGGY FORTRESS!!! :D

  • honestly i think that snowy shaw is not the right guy for dimmu borgir, maybe is a great musician, but he can't fit in this band, vortex is a very cool singer, bassist i have my doubts, but he have charisma, and this guy have zero. maybe he don't shine in therion because that band seems like a damn church choir, too much people.

  • I wish Vortex never quit the band. It was much better with him singing the clean vocals, and he was nice to look at, too.

  • double bass kick is something epic in this cover !

  • sounds like it had Jonathon Davies from korn

  • @AwsomeDMan First I thought the same (Korn is my favorite band!) but the man who's really singing is called Snowy Shaw.

  • @AwsomeDMan yeah faggotly

  • @AwsomeDMan More like Dave Mastaine

  • @DarkQueen1995 LMFAO!!! no...and it's Mustaine BTW

  • @AwsomeDMan Dude, you're a musically inept faggot...

  • @AwsomeDMan it sounded like that 2 me 2

  • @AwsomeDMan That was Snowy Shaw for ya!

  • @AwsomeDMan To me sounds more like Snowy Shaw from Therion.
