It's called Audiosurf, and it's only for the pc as far as I know. You have to get it through Steam. (the same company from which you download Portal)

Take one part Guitar Hero, one part Tetris, three parts iTunes, and a dash of Bejeweled. Mix it all together, place in a greased loaf pan, bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, and you have Audiosurf. Open your music in Audiosurf to create a track populated with blocks. Pilot a ship along the track, collecting the blocks for points. Highest point value wins. Slower songs with simple tunes tend to be easier, while faster songs with more complex tunes are harder.

No, the purpose of the game, at least with pointman, is to get matching colors down at the bottom of the screen by picking up the proper notes. The colors change based on the tempo of the song, and the speed changes, i believe, based on the volume. It is a very fun game; i just got it yesterday and i feel addicted already.

Try to chain the different notes.

If you look in the grid at the bottom you should try and get all the same colours to match because if you dont and acolumn gets filled. you "die" and cant collect notes for a small amount of time.
