This is my favorite thing in the park. Everything else is getting too modernized and hyper-commercial, but the crazy psychedelic water pageant is super nostalgic. Iim going to be outraged if they turn this into the Witches of Waverly Place Hydro Magic Musical or some corporate crap like that.

Wow. That was absolutely terrible. So very cheap and dated. I'm definitely going to skip this on my upcoming trip (another night I can dedicate to the MSEP! =D). This makes me very glad that I watched this now, instead of having to find out how lame it is while watching it in person.
@plokmnij It's been running since the opening of Walt Disney World. It might be dated, but it's just tradition. That's what keeps these parks alive, the mix of nostalgia and the cutting-edge.
I remember every night hearing this when I was going to bed at the Wildnerness Lodge ... such a sweet memory. I wanted so badly to get up and watch it but I was just too exhausted from the day of fun! LOL
@1983horizons1 Ditto. if you do a google search for 1977 Electrical Water Pageant you'll come across a site that has that soundtrack complete w/ audio notes by Jack Wagner. the soundtrack for the 2nd EWP ('77'-'94) was recorded at the same time as the MSEP soundtrack.
we were there in May. we took our daughter who was 3 1/2 to see this when we stayed at the lodge and she loved it. since we never heard the original music (at least i have no memory of it from my childhood) i like this version
@SONICSATAMJAMER77 Probably because they're using newer keyboards to try and recreate the pioneering sounds of the original analog synths like the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 that brought us much of the sounds of MSEP.
i saw this show every nite wen i stayd at the polynesian the polynesian was a great view of it, i remember watching this nd wishes the 1st nite it was amazing
Just watched this show tonight a few minutes ago, i'm posting this from my resort at the Wilderness lodge :D Me and my new wife (on our honeymoon) saw this first, leaving Magic kingdom after the fireworks show and again from our beach view at the Wilderness Lodge.
to begin, best wishes to you both...have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, twice...I still remember hearing the magical overture when the pageant began.
its the best eva i wanna go back and its sooooo warm at night the pool i good and the polynesian is the best to stay in everyone go to the polyy ok bye bye i love the magic kingdon met mickey mouse can wait to go again !!!! love the fireworks and the parade !! i love you disney
OMG the most amazing show ever. I always call this Disney's Best Kept Secret instead of their Vacation Club plans, because every night they have this show and everyone's like what the f**k was that?! then no one ever talks about it again
Thanks for the memory's i am taking my Fiancee to disney for her first time next week. I am planning on showing her this. it's one of the few things about disney she hasn't read about yet :-D
This is one of my all-time favorites at Walt Disney World and like the Main Street Electrical Parade, the music is upbeat and catchy! BTW, the sound in the video is GREAT!
very nice.....i couldn't make it since my grandmother sat on the toilet all freakin night

Where do they show this ?
zingarzahoy26 1 year ago
@zingarzahoy26 You can see it from any of the Magic Kingdom resort's beaches. The boat dock of the Wilderness Lodge is my fave spot, personally :)

I hope they update the music for Walt Disney World's 40th Anniversary.

zingarzahoy26 1 year ago
@zingarzahoy26 Yes, for almost 40 years.

The current music sounds too "cheap".
They should have stick to the 1980's soundtrack.
