@MeAkouTube I don't think waving your arms helplessly constitutes distraction. Ivo Karlovic did the same thing at Aus Open this year and no warning from the umpire, he actually lost the point anyway.
@timothylhm yes, very common in doubles. good play for when you feel you dont have the time to aim either direction. nice to choke the person up at the net
@timothylhm yes striking your oponent with the ball earns you a point , also on your serve , if you hit your oponnent with the ball before it touches the ground is practically an ace :)
saw this match, with johnny mac commentating and it was just all fun and games. tommy did nothing wrong..johnny just laughs. a few months later I was watching a monfils match where he pretty much does the same thing and macenro gets pissed and says how bad of sportsmanship that was and that monfils should have lost the point and been given a code violation. ill just leave that open ending im not hating on macenro, just an interesting observation.
@isabeldelacadena yes, the rules say nothing about gestures. only about audio distraction. but this was a joke at the end of a shut out so its no big deal
@Guitarplayer219 because he was 2 sets to love up and advantage at 2 all in the 5th. Bet there would be a complaint if it was break point and 2 sets all.
It seemed like Federer was going to win the point because of well-placed dropper leading up to Haas making a run. So Haas just decided to distract Roger by raising his arms as a last deseperate effort which actually worked! Great moment
thats how you win against roger

@Unfot yes, standard rules is you can't distract. That's why Serena got a point penalty for shouting c'mon.
