  • GET HIM THERAPYYYYYYYYYYY

  • @kaitlinashleyfox wtf? can you not see he is getting help with his speech? when he is older he will most likely continue the speech therapy and when he starts school his communication in social environments will be much stronger

  • @fresiansrus Okay, first off, this is not ongoing therapy services. This is a one time show where the taught the parents techniques for a few days. Autism requires 20-40 hours a week of early intervention by trained professionals for best prognosis. I am glad they are doing a little something, but it is frustrating watching this show and seeing that he is getting NO SERVICES for his autism. That is unacceptable. My child has 20 hours of ABA therapy, 2 hours of speech therapy

  • @kaitlinashleyfox and one hour of occupational therapy a week. These services are funded either by the state or insurance so cost is not an excuse. The fact that they got his diagnosis, and THIS is all that has been done for him is pathetic. They should have him working with several therapists, managing his case. If you don't know very much about autism, then you shouldn't comment like you do, because anyone who has dealt with it knows that this is not enough.

  • @kaitlinashleyfox Oh and speech therapy is not exclusively for older children, my daughter has been going since she was 19 months old. He should have been in speech therapy from the moment he got his diagnosis. Your right, speech therapy will help with those things, but one little problem... HE ISN'T GETTING SPEECH THERAPY. And no one suggested to them that he should, which is totally wrong. Please read up about early intervention services before replying to me.

  • @kaitlinashleyfox how dare you assume i don't know anything about autism i lived with an autistic boy for 16 years i think i know enough. i know the parents are doing the best they can. they were doing all they knew, don't forget they have 2 other little ones, there may not be time for the mom to be searching on the internet-i do believe the house should've been more secured though

  • @kaitlinashleyfox im aware of that-but there is speech therapy programs for school aged children. i agree more should be done from the beginning-but my brother was diagnosed when he was 4 and didn't get help until he was diagnosed, my brother has been seeing speech therapists for years and having an EA his whole time in school-this is only the beginning.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. I have a 5 yr old who is autistic and it was just so lovely to see Tristan bloom in such a small amount of time. It really helps you remember that kids are amazing and how much they can progress with a bit of encouragement. You can even see how much praise helps the twins. Thank you once again for helping me remember how much my son has progressed =)
