  • smokers are second class citizens who suck butts

  • smokers dont need seperate smoking rooms we have our homes where most of us will be staying untill we have a safe warm pace in which to induldge in both our nasty ilttle habbits ie smoking and drinking if we look at the smoking ban on its main points such as reducing smoking rates and having no adverse effect on the pub trade the smoking rate went up and the effect on the pub trade has been nothing less than catastrophic beer tie cheep booze recessions there pre 07 why are they problems now

  • yes, you have a right to smoke. But I also have a right to breathe clean air.

So whose rights do we observe, smokers? You do not need an indoor sauna, you selfish pricks. Smoke outside.

  • kill yourselves and your kids fine but dont kill me or my family with your filthy habit

if I shit on your head is that ok as its less of a health hazrd than breathing in your fag smoke and depending on diet will smell better

  • hmm go to the pub and support the biggest infringment of civil liberty since the thatcher government while a portion of the price of your pint goes directly to the w.h.o who in turn give it to ash choke ect to fund ther regeme of fear mongering grounded in baseless sudo sience and clap trap or sit at home blaze up get your mates round have a lot more to drink than you would in the pub and listen to music played at the correct volume rather than the ear splitting din that is in most bars

  • This really makes me laugh you people have no idea what your breathing in just living your every day life, most of you dont even care about what is put in your food you buy and then you have the audacity to criticise a small cigarette smoke. You drive cars that produce more carbon monoxide than all cigarettes would ever do, light bonfires on a huge scale every year, think that Nuclear power is the future and then complain about cigarette smoke, are you people for real.

  • Im not saying smoking is good or bad.My only observation is that we as citizens of this country are giving up the rights of what we do with our own bodies...what comes next???? No drinking ? No eating fatty foods?.....I feel like as long as nobody is smoking directly in someone else's face...Have at it! we are exposed to many worse pollutants on a daily basis....factory's pumping pollution into the air -and we sure have no choice in breathing that! I just live by the motto-"live and let live" .

  • No wonder people hate the government

  • How can you have a proper debate if ordinary people do not understand the negative and positive consequences of a smoking ban? This is exactly why we vote, so people elect have the exact, unbiased facts and figures and can make the correct policy judgements for us.

Oh, on another point, because we have used to have smoking in bars and bars didn't and doesn't mean that it was actually good for smokers / unsmokers alike.

  • The smoking ban was a debate using guns i.e. no debate. Total shit human farming

  • ban government control and unfair taxes. when a product is taxed more than the product cost thats a wake up call. tea party time!

  • It's persecution of a minority folks. Our governments are filled with hypocrites.

  • Perhaps the real motive behind smoking bans is to put bars and pubs out of business.

  • cigarretes and alcohol :)

  • Yuppie wankers.

  • cigarettes should be illegal because they are the most addictive drugs. Hypocrite governments making pain killers and steroids illegal to buy freely but cigarettes are sold in every corner. WTF?!

  • @PhysiologicAli

You've got a point there. It seems that only liberal drugs are illegal, but conservative drugs are tolerated.

  • The biggest fault w/this Smoking ban crap is that we smoker's allowed it to happen...Now for the fight to get rid of it is on.

  • A good friend of mine, who has recently become my housemate, has a problem with his eyes where he cannot be in a smoky room for more than a few moments or his eyes puff up and he might go blind. Before the smoking ban he could not go out to pubs and clubs because of it. He and I are both smokers and I willingly go outside to smoke for his sake. Imho the smoking issue should be at landlord discretion. A sign at the door of a pub could indicate whether the establishment allows smoking or not.

  • 0:27 *cough cough* inflict your personal choices on others? What would give anyone *hack cough* that impression?

Thank you for not filling my lungs with your smoke. Go outside and smoke all you want where I don't have to breath it.

When someone drinks, a bit of alcohol isn't forced down the throats of everyone else in the room. Think about it.

  • @GretchenDawntreader My God your coughing, Here have a cigarette its cleaner then all those other chemical factors your breathing in outside anyway.

  • @GretchenDawntreader when you are at a buffet go up to a fat person who leaves half a plate of food and ask them why they left all that food. remember to mention all the starving people in the world.

  • @GretchenDawntreader yeah, yall drunk rednecks just get drunk and throw punches at people or use jagged beer bottles to slash people, wtf are you thinking?

  • Smokers are the Jews of the XXI century. What is funny is that almost all presidents of anti smoking groups and associations are Jews.....ja ja jaCrazy world, what a spirirt of revenge have this people.....and then they want us to suffer for their Holocaust.. Zionazis.........

  • @portbue Yeah is feeling the same as the poor Jews did. But the difference between us is that we are fighting back!

  • I find it interesting that one of the smokers in this video said the government is trying to make it look as though smokers inflict their personal choice to smoke on non-smokers. If she is honestly trying to suggest that smokers don't do this then she is deluded.

I'm sure there are smokers out there who get cancer/heart disease/liver problems, realise they want a second chance at life, and sign up for a transplant. Imagine how you would feel if you were a non-smoker who was born with a...

  • defective heart. Imagine that you were on a transplant waiting list and you somehow found out that all 5 patients in front of you on the heart transplant list were all smokers?

If you want to smoke, fine. But don't get overly defensive and arrogant, play the victim card, and flippantly act as though your right to smoke will never affect non-smokers because it does.

  • @pascha120 No it doesn't and I'm sorry that you were brainwashed during their media scare. It worked on you but there are those of us that are too intelligent in logic to fall for such a false victory w/the smoking ban laws. At least there are states that are not falling for the lies & deceit of this prejudice project that the anti's wanted. Were born we live & we die...so leave us the hell alone!

  • @pascha120 What a despicable and completely prejudicial view! You may as well be asking, "what if the 5 in front of you were ... Blacks? Women? Jews?"

Hey what if the heart COMES from a smoker? Would you refuse it?

    Bigot!

  • @pascha120 I see your point, but normally , nhs won't treat smokers unless they quit

  • @pascha120 I agree with you that a person who messes up their heart from smoking should not get priority on the donor list, but this is not the smokers fault. It would be the fault of the people that prioritise the donor list. If you choose to smoke you should live with the consequences, and be put on the very bottom of the list. If a person is smoking in a place where they are not around anyone who doesn't smoke(or their own home) then their is no reason why it should be banned there.

  • @gokuhawks14 Imo it's the smokers fault for picking up the smoking habit in the first place b/c if you don't smoke you won't be on the list. Everyone knows how smoking can negatively one's health yet some choose to smoke anyway. If people want to smoke then that's up to them but I still think it's odd that people in this vid and in the comments are still saying that their smoking doesn't affect anyone. My best friend's father died of cancer due to smoking and his death affected her very deeply.

  • @gokuhawks14 She tried for years to convince him to quit but her dad ended up smoking behind her back down the pub or when the family weren't around. I just think smokers ought to think twice before they outright say that smoking doesn't affect others at all. I've seen firsthand how smoking can tear a family apart and rob someone of their own father so I stand by my comment that smokers shouldn't get overly defensive and flippantly say smoking 100% doesn't affect others.

  • @pascha120 LOL you yankee moron, if anyones playin the victim card its yall fuckin non smoking whiners.

  • @pascha120 lol i think that every car driver is inflicting there exhaust fumes on cyclists and pedestrians as well as nuclear power stations inflicting there nuclear pollution against peoples personal choice. For every argument there is an opposing argument. Silly but we choose to smoke like many choose to destroy the planet with car fumes and Nuclear power stations etc. I really think your argument on cigarette smoke is silly compared to what's really going to kill you.

  • IT's just the start alcohol will be next.

  • @evildeaddrew WOW YES PLEASE!!

  • Am a truck driver, spend most of the day in laybys smoking. As a result productivity has gone downhill. Tough! I'm checking the load guv' or traffic was bad guv'!! If i'm not in a layby i'm driving the artic like a nutter to the next one. Dunno if i'm 'sposed to wear yellow star on my sleeve with smoker written on it or funny stripey pajamas? I get paid by the hour so the more time i spend smoking the more i earn. Fuck 'em.

  • Since the smoking ban I can count on the fingers of one hand just how many times I've been in a pub, I was never big on pups any way, but at least I wasn't treated like a "naughty schoolboy" and have to go otside for a smoke. I also don't go to restaurants, many were non smoking before, I accepted that, as you were allowed in to the adjoining bar for a smoke. I refuse to go outside to smoke, so simple, I just stay at home, save money, and smoke to my hearts content, or discontent, my choice!

  • @KevinJKtheman .

Thats what i do, NO SMOKE NO GO.

  • Last time l was in a pub it was full of creeps and weirdos with an atmosphere like a dentist waiting room. Thanks New Labour for banning 21% of the adult population from pubs

  • And finally, you know what i love the most about the law? All i hear about from smokers is how they want to quit, they hate smoking, blah blah blah. Then they say the smell of smoke is their "trigger". Now that there is no smoke they still have to go outside and smoke every 5 minutes, even with no "trigger". It just proves the level of denial that most smokers live with. THAT'S WHY I HATE SMOKE WITH A PASSION, THAT'S WHY AS A CONSIDERATE HUMAN BEING YOU SHOULD SMOKE OUTSIDE ALWAYS!!

  • To non-smokers Have you ever considered something as a freedom to choose ?

Why not give the owner of the pub et all the choice

That way there will be places you can smoke and you can't I don't want you to stand in my smoke if you don't want to OTOH I want to smoke somewhere and be treated like a human being. There is room for both of us

  • TO ALL YOU DUMB ASS, MORON SMOKERS: Cheers to you fools for being addicted to the most disgusting and pointless drug on the face of the earth. Lets see, a drug that is horrible for your heart and lungs, make your voice sound like your 200 years old, turns you teeth the color of newspaper, you smell like shit, you cant laugh without coughing (my favorite) and for what????? NO BUZZ AT ALL................really people how fucking stupid can you get!!! NC just passed this law THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!

  • Well now what a balanced reply NOT !

  • That's precisely my point.........What is the "upside" of smoking that crap. At least with alcohol you get drunk, weed you get high, cocaine you get jacked. What is the point of cigerettes?? I STILL looking for ANYONE to give me a decent reason as to why they light up CONSTANTLY!!! My reply wasn't meant to be balanced. After years of bartending I'm sick and tired of hearing the smokers talking about how they want to quit, yet get mad at the nonsmokers for not wanting to inhale the crap.

  • @ Sahadi420 Why should there be a reason you have to understand for human behaviour ? I don't understand one bit about human behaviour I don't want you to stand in my smoke ! What I am suggesting is a freedom to choose What is wrong with non-smoking places and smoking places ? Why can't the owner of a catering service not make that decision ? That way - you would be happy

I would be happy. There was a time people solved their problems like this

  • Don't get me wrong, I am all about capitalism and giving the owners their rights. BUT, people forget is HOW OFTEN the gov't makes owners do things that the public rarely hears about, and gladley accepts. Easy examples are making places have a back doors (for fires), having handicap parking, having railings high enough over drop offs, etc. Now why can't the owner NOT have a back door and just put a sign on the front door that states "in case of fire there is no back door, come in at own risk"

  • Like I stated earlier i do bartend and there is a "rooftop" bar near mine. The measures the owner of that bar had to go through to make his rooftop "safe" (according to the health dept) was crazy. No tables within so many feet of the railing, the railing had to be this high. etc. Now why couldn't the owner just put a sign up that says "hey moron, your on a roof, be careful" He would be shut down instantly. The smoking law is just another law to protect people from the establishment.

  • Hell look at my name, you know what i smoke. I cant smoke in public PERIOD!!!! Do you hear me complaining......................nope.

  • @Sahadi420

Its relaxing. Their is nothing better than sitting down at the end of a hard days graft with a pint and a cigarette.

I'm sick of people even referring to SHS. Its a made up entity designed solely to scare people. Not one shred of evidence has ever been found. Calofornia University did a 30 year study, nothing. Even the World Health Organisation found nothing. Refer to the smell to back up your totalitarianism if you wish but you cant refer to somthing that doesn't excist.

  • Please tell me your joking. So you mean to tell me that the smoke is harmful to the smoker, but THE EXACT SAME SMOKE is harmless to everyone else??? I think you might have had to many pints there slick. So I'm guessing in your world the smokers that got Emphysema got the disease from the pollen??? I'm in my 3rd week bartending in a smokefree environment and my god, the difference in how i feel after work is IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE. Don't preach that harmless SHS shit to me moron. Get a clue.

  • Concentration levels? Read Joe Jackson - Smoke Lies. Get a clue yourself instead of just swallowing government propaganda. On NOBODYS coroners report has the cause of death been cited as "passive smoking". Of the studies conduted their was no increased risk from all the diseases associated with smoking if you lived with a smoker. This was over a 30 year period. Air pollution studies have also concluded that in cities your better of inside a smoky bar than outside in terms of air quality.

  • Where to start. First, a coroner is not going to state "died of smoking" in a report. Just like he's not gonna state "died from not exercising" or "died from eating too much red meat." And think about it, how is living with a smoker, where you are CONSTANTLY breathing in smoke, no different then living in a smoke free environment. That's impossible. And again, coming from someone that for the past 8 years has worked in a smoke environment I'm telling your FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE

  • that the smoke made my head and throat hurt, made me feel like something was on my chest in the morning and really hurt me in the gym. I don't need a "report" to know how much smoking hurts the human body, i lived it first hand. Don't forget, the gov't also said back in the day that smoking was not addictive, or harmful, so fuck them. As far as the difference in the air in a bar and outside...i can't "see" the air outside. So god help you if you do live in a city that is otherwise.

  • I'm not total disagrement with you. When i first started going out it made my eyes sting. It wasn't pleasant. My disagreement is with the lack of choice and the fact that Labour lied to us before the last election.

Filtration systems, air conditioning, seperate rooms, smoking and no smoking pubs. Their are reasonable alternatives. Why should the government dictate what a pub owner can and cant do in his property? Common sense seems to have gone straight out the window.

  • OK, so to be the devil's advocate, what about making estabishments have an emergency exit in case of fire, or making employees wash their hands after restroom use. Those are "rules" the bars have to abide by. Is that crap?? Again, working in the business for almost a decade there are DOZENS UPON DOZENS of rules and guidelines (many that the public has no idea about) that we have to follow, or risk gettin shut down. I know I'm reachin with those examples but i hope you see my point.

  • Just because YOU OWN your own place doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. Sorry i was a bit of a dick earlier but i have to admit there aren't too many things that get me goin like listening to a smoker talk about how harmless his nasty, pointless habit is (while he's coughing up a lung). Now if you'll excuse me i just got off work and i'm going to the gym CAUSE I FEEL FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You have found one, the reason i light up constantly is i love it, i smoke from when i get up in the morning until i go to bed at night.Yes it may be a bit risky but so what, the pleasure is worth the risk for me, I don't care if i snuff it a bit earlier in fact i hope i do, have you seen the state of some of those old wrinklies in them nursing homes who can't even wipe their own arse, no thanks.

  • Sahadi420

What makes you think we don't get a buzz, I know i do. I'm afraid you have been brainwashed by your leaders.CAN YOU TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS. WE SMOKERS WOULD LIKE SOME PUBS OR PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUBS WHERE WE COULD HAVE A DRINK AND A SMOKE WHERE NON SMOKERS WOULD NOT HAVE TO GO. ARE YOU STILL PAYING ATTENTION. ONLY PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO WORK OR SOCIALISE THERE WOULD IN FACT WORK OR SOCIALISE THERE. NON SMOKERS COULD EVENTUALLY BE TAUGHT NOT TO VISIT THESE AWFUL ESTABLISHMENTS.WAKE UP NOW

  • Your the helplessly addicted smoker, yet I'm the one that's brainwashed?? I'll admit I don't like havin the gov't tell me what to do, but at the same time I'm a considerate person. I wouldn't go into a place smelling like BO. Just like I wouldn't go into a place dressed like shit. I think smoking indoors is a rude, disgusting thing to do. I'm not telling ANYONE to stop smoking. Just go outside. Hell I smoke weed and cant smoke it ANYWHERE!! Face it smokers, your habit's hayday is over.

  • Sahadi420

I am not a helplessly addicted smoker, there is plenty of help out there if i want it, the point is i don't want it, I LOVE IT.

They have brainwashed you about the dangers of passive smoking, that is not to say that i expect you to want to breath in other peoples smoke. You think smoking indoors is a rude, disgusting thing to do, which is fair enough, and i think you have a right to smoke free premises. But why would you object to smokers pubs or clubs.

  • Sahadi420

You say you smoke weed, i don't, but you won't get me slagging you off, as far as i'm concerned you can smoke as much as you like as long as it doesn't affect me.

As far as having nowhere to smoke your weed, I think it's illegal isn't it, can't help you there, but i would if i could, wouldn't it be nice if it was legal and you could go to a weed smoking pub or club, i wouldn't go myself, but HEY lets have a bit of tolerance.

  • So I'm not "listening" to anybody. I don't have to. I can tell how nasty that shit is by the way I sleep, run, lift, and ball now that I don't have to breathe in that crap. Even the guys I lift with joke with me about how my workouts have changed. And you said it best, "as far as i'm concerned you can smoke as much as you like as long as it doesn't affect me." MY POINT EXACTLY!!!!!! Go outside.

  • @Sahadi420 LMAO. Im 300 lbs all muscle 6'7 and can beat the fuck out of every non smoker ive ever been in the ring with.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER Obviously you do you no life fuck. I'm soooo sure your 300 and all muscle mr. "CB radio" LO FUCKING L. Keep trolling, loser.

  • @Sahadi420 Yore just jealouse cause #1 you coudnt beat me at arm wrasslin, an #2 when i key up my cb radio your ass cant talk cause of all my watts. I bet yore one of them old HAM RADIO operators.

  • I have no problem with "smokers bars". but please, please, dont give me the "They have brainwashed you about the dangers of passive smoking" bit. So the harmful smoke that the smoker inhales is bad, but it's fine for everyone else?? Thats like me saying to you "this acid will burn me if I spill it on me, but if i throw it on you, you'll be fine." IT'S THE SAME SMOKE!!!! Again, I've lived the second hand smoke life FIRST HAND for 8 years. Now I'm 4 weeks in with no smoke AND I FEEL GREAT.

  • I think we are now starting to make a bit of progress, you seem to have calmed down a bit and stopped slagging smokers as much as you were, i:e DUMB ASS MORON SMOKERS etc. I think we are pretty close now to agreement, what do you think.

Non Smokers should be entitled to smoke free Pubs/Clubs/Offices/etc.

Smokers should be entitled to Pubs/Clubs/Offices/etc if those places wish to allow it.

  • Personally I would settle for Non Smokers having every Pub in the country, and Smokers only being allowed to smoke in a Private Members Club. Factories and offices should be allowed to have Smoking Areas if they choose.

    What do you think.

  • @Sahadi420 lol oh god, the opinion of some druggie. who gives a crap what you think, boy?

  • If every one smoked a greentip electronic cigarette , this would not be a problem

  • Before I reply to anything you said, What exactly do you mean by "stand alone bars"?

  • I FUCKING LOVE FAGS

  • Hey, have you noticed how things have changed. When smoking was allowed everywhere than people were telling non smokers to get over it; now that it's going to get banned in a whole lot of places we are taking away smokers rights? What about the rights and feelings of the non smokers that have had to either suffer or put up with that nasty mess. You dont have to smoke but we have to breathe. The alcohol and food wont die if you quit smoking.

  • If you don't like second hand smoke then don't go in to a bar that allows smoking. Simple as that. Just go into a bar that doesn't allow smoking. If an owner of a bar got enough complaints from customers about smoking indoors he/she would ban smoking in an instant. Don't complain to the governement, complain to the owners of each restaurant to ban smoking. Or you could also have smoking and non-smoking sections. To place an outright ban all together is striaght up fascism. Oh, and I don't smoke.

  • Hey, it's not a matter of liking or disliking it. I'm allergic. Here in Virginia we don't have stand alone bars or saloons so in order to eat out there can't be a bar because at all the bars there was smoking allowed. Years have gone by and non smokers are starting to get some rights. Dec. 1 2009 all restaurants will be smoke free. It would be nice to have seperate sections but there is no such animal. Smoke just seems to go everywhere it wants and that's why they try to contain it.

  • Hey, there is also a thing called dry. They use the term to talk about people that don't drink but use to and still carry on some of the same traits. Are you a lifetime non smoker? I use to wonder why non smokers defend the cause and there are only two reasons I can see. One is you use to smoke, gave it up, but still hang around people that smoke. Secondly, you are afraid if the smokers go that the bars will go out of business or that rules will be enforced that affect drinkers.

  • Yup you are very right ! And there is something else to consider : Now it is the smokers What will be next If the government takes control of our private life's where will it end ? BTW great to see a non smoker having a balanced opinion :-)

  • Thanks mizz77anna. I'm a staunch Libertarian so I believe the government has no business butting into our personal lives. Asking "why do you care about smokers rights if you don't smoke?" is like asking "why do you care about gay marriage if your not gay?" The answer is simple, because I care about other people's rights and liberties. If the government bans something that doesn't affect me, then before I know it, they will ban something that will affect me. And yes I'm a lifetime nonsmoker.

  • I am so glad that you can see the bigger issue !

So much is going on So much liberty at stake and I for one am happy to see us fight shoulder to shoulder ! keep the good work up.....

  • didbnt that woman at the end used to be in a TV program?

  • Smokers' opinions (unless they are trying to quit) are by very nature biased towards tobbacco because they are bloody nicotine junkies with physical addictions to their garbage.

  • Congratulations to that great smoke-in ;-)

  • god bless you we had a pub that stud up the stags head in barnstaple but the man shut them down for giveing us the choice

  • great stuff!

  • Brilliant video, sadly I could not make it this year, but I have nearly read Velvet Glove, Iron Fist by Christopher Snowdon (Superb) the History of anti-smoking, a must read, so much information. Get angry and start fighting back.

    mandyv

  • Reading that book at the mo. I agree it's a cracking read.

  • the black girl is soo cute!!

  • Isn't she! A smoker too.

    I want her.

  • so do i!

  • Well done! Keep up the good fight!

  • Great video.

Lorraine Chase is right, people have the ability to think and choose for themselves, take that away and they will fight back.

Keep up the good work FOREST, you have my support.

  • Excellent, and great sound track!

  • Well done all of you. Got my support.

    Choice for all!!!!!!!

  • Good video - keep up the good work with the "Save Our Pubs and Clubs" campaign!

  • Congratulations FOREST, looking forward to seeing more videos championing the smoker and the use of a LEGAL product.
