Holy shit. I've loved this song for ages but I had never seen the video before now - I had no idea it was shot in Sydney. I spent most of my teenage years hanging out around Glebe Pt (where they have the chase with the cops) and spent many fun hours at Luna Park as well.

I might be wrong, but I think if Blur had been bigger in the U.S. (only one gold album, and many Americans only know Song 2 and thus view them as a one-hit wonder) then they would have been kings of MTV (if they had been able to have the same success in the U.S. that they had in the U.K.

I don't know. Maybe to some people they were too British (very narrow minded, I know.) It's the same fate that Suede, Slade (huge in Europe, I think), Mott the Hoople and probably some other British acts suffered, American audiences not being able to relate to their English characteristics. They were great, and not since Joe Jackson had an English act been able to move between styles and genres (prior to Joe Jackson it was Queen.)

This is the same album that also features Beetlebum and Song 2 and was the first album to be released after The Great Escape - which, despite being generally a fan fav., is an album that Damon Albarn views as a low point in Blur's career. MOR is featured on The Best of album, but only on disc 2 of the Special Edition version.
