  • Those are huge stores and they could come sick from the breeders but their cage conditions are Terrible! The petcos around me the animals are healthy and happy do I think its the bigger populated areas.

From, soon to be the youngest animal specialist! Hopefully :)

  • 3:27 when they visit a store they tell the store about a week in advance. so the employees have time to make the store look good for higher ups. i know all this cuz i worked at a petco in the east bay for a few years. one of the worst companys to work for. my district manager Niel was a coke head and cared more about making money than the animals.

  • Well most of it is inbreeding and money grabbing!! no one who owns businesses that big care about sick animals just the money i think it's sad i rescued my guinea pigs and id do anything for them :(

  • "Only on C5... and youtube"

  • Finally, someone legitimately exposing petco as harmful that ISN'T peta.

  • @lordfumblesquid YOU ATE FU CKING STUPID PETA HAS LIKE 20 VIDS ON THEM ABUSING THERE ANIMALS!! GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGH B4 U COMMENT STUPID ASS

  • @CarrotBoyification petco has really cleaned up from this i have gone to the one in my area and it is nothing like this and there wazz this very smart girl that new ablot about the reptiles ther and she new if they wernt looking good or not

  • when it showed the tortoise, its actually good for them to eat there own poop

  • HOW DARE THEY DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I BOUGHT MY GUINEA BIG FROM PETCO I'M LUCKY HE FINE but bored (not till tommorrow cause he get a new cage and a friend :D )

  • i can't believe that they are to fucking lazy to clean their cages and they get payed

     for it

  • yeah my sandsifting start that i bought from petco died and also introduced ick into my tank

  • so if petco and petsmart are bad and are like mills.. (i live in califorina ) so what store should i go then and i agree with you. so where?

  • @lighthands22 a small independent pet center would be a great option. Otherwise goto Petco or Petsmart and "rescue" those poor mistreated creatures.

  • @lighthands22 you shouldf by them if they dont look sick so you can save them

  • PS: So if you live in the Rhode Island area and are having a valid and legitimate problem with a petco employee or manager...contact me...I might just pay that store a visit, and if they give me a problem...They won't be there very long...guaranteed!

  • (Part 2 ) and then if they give me any lip as to why I am questioning them..They won't be working there in a week...I get them fired. One of my local petcos told me they would no longer service me there. Called Corp - That manager was fired the next day.

I go into my local petcos now and they absolutely hate me there, but I take it with pride since to me the animals, fish, etc are more important then them just trying to line their pockets and stuck up attitudes. signed (Fish expert of 40 years)

  • All 3 of my local petcos ARE just like this video shows, so this is NOT a isolated incident apparently.

Their aquatics section is even worse! The employees are condecending and extremely rude, I've actually got 3 managers and 6 employees fired already in just the past 3 months alone.

They demand that your tanks and cages are upto par, but they dont keep theirs up?

They ask you questions before they'll sell you anything...I ASK them! and if they fail, I dont buy there..( see Part 2 above).

  • it seems like the petco stores in smaller places like the one in my hometown (Montana) are not as bad, my petco is a really good one, the guinea pigs have veggies and fresh hay and every time I go in there there is atleast one area of animal enclosers being cleaned. I have never seen any thing as horrible as that poor baby guinea pig in any petco and I hope I never do.

  • PetCo is a pretty good pet store. I just hate the way they treat there animals!

  • the petco in riverdale utah are perfectly fine the animals are all energetic well fed and cages are kept clean all though i have to say sometimes they do croud the mice together but other than that my petco are fine

  • WE lost multiple pets from petco within days of buying them! Including 3 hamsters and 1 snake.

  • its not all petco shops the select few i guess over the whole country

  • Its not the manager. People have been complaining for ages from various stores about the fish they keep the bettas in tiny filthy containers and they say they like dirty water and lived in puddles. Idiots they are. They said the come from china they actully come from thailand and vietnam. They live in rice paddy fields where theres tons of water they dont even know when to feed them! One every week they say. Its three times a day.

  • WTF. I've never seen a Petco like that in my life ._. that's disgusting and sad. It must have been the store manager that was corrupt and wrong.

  • I never had this problem,my pets I bought from pet smart and co and they had never died,of course from oldness...

  • This is disgusting, this is exactly why you should go to an animal rescue to get a pet

  • Most petcos are not like this they r good the one by my house Is all good except for they put baby geckos in sand and sand kills them

  • the petco by my house is not like this i bought alot of animals from my local petco and none of my animals died and was not sick

  • my local petco is super clean. if there are sick fish, they put them under observation, treat them, and don't let you buy them. the birds all seem happy and healthy, with very large cages. very active mice, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets and the like. reptiles and arachnids all in nice shape. this isn't everywhere.

  • @TheHammyChannel1 Go Fuck yourself

  • It really depends on the store. Ive been to a Petco that was amazing. always had heathly anaimals and everything and other ones are just horrible. Same with Petsmart. i work at a amazing petsmart. Any animal we see that is sick we bring to the vet and we clean every animal habitat everyday. And we never overstock tanks and habitates.

  • There sick ppl at petco :P

  • Another thing is, that we tell people not to play with the hamsters the first three days of bringing them home, and some people just don't take us seriously, there is only so much we can do once animals are with the customers. We tell people to buy benabac to prevent wet tail, people hardly ever want to follow the suggestion. Bring back the animal to us and we take it to the vet within 15 days. We do our very best at our store to take care of these animals.

  • @Rebecca1075: Lol! Sorry for the cross posting. I think it's awesome that you're doing your best for the hamsters! I will note that the most wonderful hamster I ever bought came from a private pet store where he was "hand raised" by the breeder (aka touched all the time by lots of different people) until he had no fear of humans whatsoever and transitioned into my hamstery without a hitch. It would be great to be able to buy animals like that from Petco. :)

  • I work at Petco in the Bay Area and this story does not represent what I see and experience at Petco. I love animals everyone I work loves animals, we all have cats and dogs and reptiles and small animals. Unfortunately sometimes animals come in sick when the breeders bring them and we have to take them to the vet. It is not as much as this video is trying to make it look like. I fully support Petco and think it is a great company. If I saw any kind of cruelty I would report it.

  • @Rebecca1075 The Redwood City PetCo in the video is my local store. The video is correct in it's description of the fish and small animal care. The fault may indeed by in the animal breeders, but PetCo has no problem selling sick, stressed, or incompatible pets without telling the customers.

They also don't seem to have any interest in correcting these issues as this video is three years old. I also complained multiple times to the store and it seems that the issues persists.

  • @ChildoftheGreenwood I am speaking of my store, not Redwood City. You cannot base your facts about Petco as a company just by one badlly managed stores. I actually work in a Petco store and do see How it is. Sure the breeders bring in sick animals, we may not always catch it right away, sometimes the animals don't show symptoms right away. If you come and buy a small animal after it just was brought into our store, we don't have time to see the problem. Plus Petco is not spelled PetCo.

  • @Rebecca1075 Cool and thanks for the spelling correction! I agree that some stores may be better than others. The SoCal store near my college has at least one friendly, handleble hamster (I wish I'd bought him) though their fish-keeping associates tried to sell me incompatible fish who promptly killed each other (and yes... I had heard that they were incompatible, but I really wanted them so I believed him against my better judgment 'cause he was "an authority" Stupid me. :P )

  • Cont'd...

Arguments aside, someone should step in and help the poor critters in Redwood City. I'm (perhaps incorrectly???) assuming conditions are similar in other North Cal store since the small animal delivery man told me he drives all the way from Redding dropping off critters off all the way down.

  • go vegan and save all animals.

  • I think some Petcos are better than others.

  • It depends on the management of workers. It's not the store, it's like mckeen said, it's the people that work there. You get dead fish sitting in tanks still and the employee has been instructed and warned before, they need to go...

  • is it petco or the breeders of this animals?

  • If the animals are sick it is usually after the breeders bring them in and we always send them to the vet.

  • We need to stop buying pets so that animals are not bred and neglected like this. There are millions of animals in rescue shelters who need homes!

  • the same thing is happening at petsmart, I got my anole from petsmart and he was eating so I took him back. I thought by taking it back it would be in good health but I wish I would of given to my friend

  • i got my parakeets from petco and their doing good

  • Id walk in there and stick there ass in a box and let them die or let the animals throw them ever animal I got from petsmart died less then a week I like petco btr

  • I prefer small pet stores to larger chain ones because they always get taken care of very well.

  • I live in Texas and I must say that I have gotten all but two of my six rats from petco's and petsmart's. All of them have been compleatly healthy. The one that I got that was a little sniffly I took to a vet who told me it was just because of stress from moving away from what she knew. She is now doing great. I have gotten fish from them in the past and they have been healthy. The problem with fish that I have seen is from walmart.

  • the animals at my petco r fine, theyre actually in rly good condition, smaller towns tend to have more care in my opinon

  • the animals dont usually get sick at the store, but are sick when the vendors deliver. usually they arent sick enough to have symptoms at the time of delivery. petco takes good care of their animals. Their only problem is that they dont get enough hours to spend and therefore are understaffed a lot. that isn't the store's fault, but the heads of company.

  • not all Petco stores have this problem. The animals i buy from petco are absolutely fine.

  • went to petco today n seen dead fish i dnt think ppl there even care for the animals

  • not all petco are like this just the ones in that area never had problems with petco

  • its fine to buy stuff for a animal their but just dont buy a pet there

  • EXCUSES EXCUSES

  • I hope that places like pet co petland and pet smart all get shut down an the people in charged burn in hell

  • my petco is very nice clean, with healthy pets

  • My local petco is fine but all they have r fish hamsters, guinra pigs, mice and bird. They are all fine. with reasonable prices.

  • I work at Petco in Southern California. Our Petco takes pride in our animals, and just to get hired I had to prove that I knew cat nutrition (I'm a cat nutrition specialist there). I personally feed a raw Franken Prey model to my cat. Our store does hourly checks on every animal. Any animal ill in the slightest is removed immediately and taken to the Wellness room for vet care. It's not the employees. It's not Petco's foundation. It's the MANAGEMENT. If management doesn't care, animals die.

  • at petco they keep leopard eckos in cages with sand witch can kill the fish tanks have dead fish in the tank the bettas have barely any water we should sue them for animal cruelty frogs have no frog to little water therre was bird seed on the bottom of bird cages

  • I wish I had 1 000 000 atomic bombs to destroy every petco and petsmart accept the good people in those stores

  • TRUE STORY:i was at petsmart the other day and i was buying gravel for my fish, so i pulled out a large bag and to my suprise i found a dead lizard. I told a nearby worker and she said, and i qoute,"OH! Theres theres the lizard that escaped yesterday!" I was shocked!

  • from tht petstore ....now tha bunny is happy and healthy :)) Plz someone tell me who i can report this store to because i want them SHUTDOWNED NOW...ANIMALS DONT DESERVE WHAT THER GETTING AT THT PETSTORE I WUZ TAlKING ABOUT

  • OhhMahhGawdd..it makes me sadd watching these videos...if it were me i wud go tu tht store n beat them tu death ..even though im just a kid..thank Gawdd Petco n PetSmart arent like tht where i live ...all there animals are healthy and active and have clean cages :) but there is a PetStore tht just REOPENED in a knew location becuz they got shut down and ther old location because they sell sick animals and they sell inbreds which is sad and they cram bunnies in tiny cages ...we saved a sad bunny

  • They wouldnt like them if they knew their dog or bird came from a box pack full of other animals. And if one of them happens to die the company just sends them back.

    WTF

  • dude its petco they are garbage

my local petco has sick animals too. you can tell

they also over charge for things example a 20 gallon tank for reptiles 89.99

i could go to a reptile shop and get it for 20 -30 bucks also they are still selling product that cause harm to reptiles

  • dude its petco they are garbage

  • Lol at the "I'm a bitch" and "and I'm gay"

  • if you what to get great pets go to small pet shops

  • i bought a hamster named ellie at petco, and she had wettail a few days later. i took her back and later asked how she was. they didn't remember i had ever bought her or took her in, and said that either she got out of her cage (yeah right, she was really sick and the poor baby wouldn't move much) or she just disappeared. i hate petco.

  • UPDATE STAY A WAY FROM PETCO THAY OVER MEDS THARE PETS WEN SICK AND GOT HER BACK SHE WAS HIPER WEN I PICKED HER UP! GOT HER HOME AND LAFED AND GOT BACK ONE SHE WAS DIED

  • I've bought unhealthy snakes on the verge of death from petco to save them and now one is a year old bigger then average for a yearling and the other mange to live a week with correct prey sizes ... Petco is out to make a quick buck that is all it is

  • I work at petco and we never have animals like this, we check our animals every hour like were suppose too and if any of us ever find an animal that looks lethargic and or ill we immediately bring it to the wellness area and call our vet. our animals come from a vender weekly so we have to check the animals from these places, most of the time they are sick or injured before they get t us. its really sad and its sad to watch videos like this..

  • @diesiryah Not all PETCO's treat their animals like that. I bought three guinea pigs at one PETCO location, only one of them survived because one we bought with an upper respiratory infection, which she died from when we were a block away from the vet, and we bought her with the uri. Another one was put to sleep, born w/ a condition that made her have seizures, w/ended up paralyzing her from the waist down. If they were checked by a vet, like they should have been, those things wouldn't happen.

  • @JawsyCP1233 I got a chichilla from petco. she also has seizure but they vet said there isnt much we can do and they don't really effect her life that much.none the less i paid over 100 bucks for her she should at least be healthy... oh and petco told me HE was a SHE. sadly the name bellatrix stuck. now she has gender confusion and seizures.

  • Comment removed

  • @IRaceBarrels I'm so sorry! I love chinchillas and i want to get one some time in the future.

Its due to the incompetence of sme PETCO's that they sell sick animals. If they really did see a vet, they would tell people at purchase.

  • @diesiryah lol good thing they dont pay you for grammar.

  • @diesiryah what petco is that? (what area like city and state and country...)

  • my petco doesnt take care of the hermit crabs. they put them in painted shells!!! they are all sad too :( they are bord sad in painted shells and dry not humid! =(

  • thats so mean.!!

  • they should be solveing the root of the problem meaning where all the animals come from.........

  • in a contest on witch store is better,i think my local petsmart is better because i got a bearded dragon on july 23 2010 and hes a year old now.

  • The Petco where I bought my Betta fish was MUCH cleaner than this! >:

  • the petco i go is much much cleaner then that!!

  • I worked for Petco and in one year we have over 20,000 animals die. That isn't fish either. It was Birds Rodent's and reptiles. I got so sick of the death. I don't think people realize how poorly Petco takes care of there animals. They expect 3 people to run a store at a time and take care of the animals and customers. That wont work and animals die so they can save money. There poor animal die because they cut hours and cut cost. We had a customer get ringworm from our guinea pigs. SO SAD

  • Buy animals from petco to save them!!

  • They sold me a sick hamster!

  • I hate petco

  • i want to believe that buying from smaller, local places would mean you get better treated and healthier animals. but years ago i bought a hamster from Casey and Trixe's, a local pet store, and she had a UTI. maybe this wasnt there fault, hard to tell. but years after that i bought a hamster from Petsmart, who was healthy and fine..

  • NO PETCO IS A GREAT STORE PETSMART IS NEVER THE PLACE TO GO PETSMART HAS CRUELTY TREATED ANIMALS FROM RWE ALSO KNOWN AS RAINBOW WORLD EXOTICS LOOK UP A VIDEO CALLED PETSMARTS DIRTY LITTLE SECRET

  • now i feel glad for saving my bird from petco!

  • never buy animals at petco!

  • It not petco its the people that work there

  • i always wonder what happens to the pets that noone buy?? because most o f time i only see babies or young pets

@mckeen771 i agree but sometimes "good" people think they are doing a job job when they don't

  • @mckeen771 shut up

  • @mckeen771 shut the fuck up!

  • petco is fine because i just baught a leopard gecko and she is very healthy and happy

  • @leopardgecko45 This is a logical fallacy known as confirmation bias. Just because your pet is fine does not mean that all other pets are healthy. The video does not state that all pets are sick from the conditions they're put through. After all, there would be no profit if all their animals were dying.

  • @leopardgecko45 its the people tha supply them

  • yeah people who say "our store is not like that" still, when you buy ANYTHING from those stores you support the whole big chain of petsmarts and petcos all around the world.

  • California fails. Come to utah!

  • Don't buy pets in the bay area? Our Utah stores are VERY well taken care of!

  • Awesome, I feed my pets to other bigger pets.

  • I BOUGHT A FISH FROM PETCO IT DIED BUT THE FISH MY KIDS GOT FROM THE FAIR THEY WON AN THEY ARE WELL AN ALIVE GOING ON ALMOST A YEAR NOW GGG PETCO GET A GRIP

  • I work at a Petsmart and we see Petco as bad only because customers from there come to us. One customer claimed they had their sick animals with wet tail.(.its a crucial form of diarrhea in small animals mostly hamsters) out on display for sale. He bought one and it died 2 days later it happens but i dunno maybe its just the area

  • Promblems?!? At a big chain pet store!?! Un-heard of!

  • I work at a PetCo. Since this kind of shit, we've REALLY stepped up the quality of life for our animals. I work at a small store in WA and our animals always look active, happy, and their tanks are really clean. These stores seen in this video obviously hire inadequate people who don't seem to like animals much. When a sick animal is delivered to our store, we get a vet in ASAP and hold the animal in the back room until they're better.

  • @LizardKirai YES IN OLATHE AS WILL I WENT TO SEE MY ADOPED HAMSTER I GOT SHE WAS SICK I TAKE HER BACK AND SHE HAVE BEN ON MEDS FOR 3 DAYS NOW 1. GOT MY 5$ BACK BUT I TOLD THE STORE I WANT HER BACK ALIVE!

  • petsmart is worse you know -_-

  • @MissLalaloo ah not really...I really do hate animals. They all have this strange sense of entitlement about them that makes me fucking sick. I hate the way they all carry themselves-especially cats. Dogs aren't too bad, but they're just dumb as fuck. People who bond with animals have poor social skills and can't get affection from humans. So no. I'm not just trying to get a reaction. Why would I give a fuck about anyone's reaction?

  • This is sick! I work at a petco, and I have to say, that is only ONE petco. Our petco where I work is really good about cleaning cages, taking sick animals to the vet and making sure our animals have everything they need to live a full and happy life.

  • I took my dog to petco and she peed in every isle

  • This is why I go go there to rescue animals

  • I hate they way cats and dogs look up at you. I just wanna kick their fury asses when they do that shit. lol (either that or go all micheal Vick on their ass). Then say "I'm the master you little shits dont look up at me".

  • @NastyHick haha I think someone is trying to get a reaction. Ok, here, I gave you one...

  • Not all petco's are jerks. Three stores I found issues with corrected them with appoligizes and corrected their mistakes. Thirdly my friend bought a sick mouse and was to attached to return it so they paid for the full cost for tumor removal. Of course this was with their oncall vet. Mouse lived long life. Remeber if your petco is not up to standards don't talk to their manager call their headquarters. Still sadly, we can never get rid of all the cruelity in stores.

  • when I had a gacko, i would often go to a local pet store to get his ''lunch'' (insects ;-) ) and while the employee was preparing that, I could go play with the kittens and/or puppies that had plenty of space to play... in fact, sometimes the whole store was open for the dogs to run around... :)

  • @2:23 "He died", my foot. They killed it.

  • Customers hate you and you are a terrible store, JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Customers hate you and you are a terrible store, JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm a former employee of Petco. Our animals were never treated like this. Cages were cleaned several times a week, animals were cared for and checked on hourly, and any animals showing signs of illness were seperated from the others and taken to the vet. If for some reason a customer purchased a sick animal, Petco would take it to the vet, pay all expenses and then return it to the customer.

I'm completely shocked by this video. All stores are NOT like this though.

  • @kush217420 so true one store even asked me my opinion when I noted their crab cage was in horrid conditions. When I returned a week later they had a larger cage, proper humitity, and fresh food. The cage was better then mine. And if people like them would have called headquarters, headquarters would have had heads rolling. I used to travel around, petsmart does nothing, petco listens. My NumNums I given for free from petco because he had a cronic condition and petco let me know of it.

  • I adopted a PetCo feeder rat when someone's snake refused to eat her (due to shedding,) and she has had multiple respiatory problems. In comparison, my PetSmart rats have never had any problem what so ever (besides being full of mischief.) Also PetSmart makes you sign a cute little paper that says you will love your pet and not use it as snakefood. Whereas PetCo sells rats AS snake food.

  • I'll sue for every thing they have. And my beta fish died after a day. I say you should by your pets at pet supermarket.

  • but if we dont adopt them they will suffer there. were traped! hide!

  • eww this is more like wal-mart fish store..

  • @MrSintendo Yeah, that's how most PetSmarts are. Even mine. I always get great service there and most of the employees are experienced w/ animals (ex: I needed some heating tips for my Bearded Dragon, and she had one and was knowledgeable about it. And another employee was working w/ an awesome expensive bird on his shoulder and let a small group of little kids pet and look at it.) But some PetSmarts SUCK. There is a related video to the part 2 of this titled "PetSmart cruelty" by sexyernie13.

  • im disgusted. I work at a petco and we do hourly checks on our animals to make sure they are watered, fed and healthy. Any animals that fall sick are immediately quarantined and taken to the vet. enclosures are cleaned twice a day. any employee found to neglect or abuse any animal wether its a petco animal, customer pet or a personal pet faces termination AND could face criminal charges. These are VERY sick stores and should be rehauled completely.

  • why you dont just go out in the wild and get them yourself like the goood old days....no but what douches treatin an animal that was here before the human race...this is why i buy from a place i can trust

  • i work at petco. the last sentence he said was stupid. "orders to kill sick animals rather than treat them." i call bull shit.

  • I'm just thankful that my local pet store is a very nice one and she actually loves the hamsters she breeds. All of my hamsters I got there were healthy and happy when we got them. Boycott Petco, Sun Pet, Petsmart. Basically any pet store who's pet store keeper who doesn't seperate males from females. If you get a sick hamster, sue that sorry excuse for a pets store for all it's got. It's what that pet store would deserve. That may sound harsh but animals are not items. It is a serious buissness

  • ZZincorporated. Petsmart was already investigated. :) Even worse than petco. :(

  • FINALLY, SOMEONE INVESTIGATES A PETSTORE! Petsmart, your next...

  • @ZZincorporated I have been volunteering at PetSmart and i even went behind the closed doors. The only animals i saw there? Just a guy washing a branch and whistling with a happy bird on his shoulder. No harm to animals at PetSmart. They do not kill animals. I saw it with my own eyes.

  • Petco is a great place to work an just so u all know u r allowed to hand the animal back to us and we will take care of all the vet visits and meds at no cost to u we do not neglect the animals of they are sick they r sent to us that way

  • my petco is better except for the leopard geckos, only go to the one on branham avenue, san jose ca.

  • why is in youtube dumfucks

  • Lol my petsmart and pecto have nice conditions which is great for me :D

  • @MrFisHobby mine are to too. they have their own vets and offer vet services.

  • i work at petco in Bellevue WA we clean the habitats every morning make sure they're healthy they have food water and vitamins we clean up their feces and urine up so it all depends on the employees

  • This video is old, but I have been working at petco for 8 months or so, and Petco doesn't breed their own animals, they get them from local vendors, and if they come in sick and the associate doesnt know what to look for then the sick ones dont get sent back (the policy to send sick animals back). My petco store is very clean and whenever an animal is sick we take it to the vet right away. I wish Petco would stop selling most animals though, such as birds, ferrets, and guinea pigs.

  • @SnowBall5291 Just to make it clean, Petco doesnt breed animals. The only large breeder Petco uses (if I am not mistaken) is Marshalls for Ferrets.

  • my petco and petsmart are clean and the animals are always active im sorry the petcos that they went to are bad

  • This makes me want to work there so I can try and clean those cages and help those poor animals. I bought 2 hamsters from Petco they are perfectly fine, and the store I went to didn't look like this though.

  • @sexielexie690 its hard working there. if you dont work quickly you lose your job.

  • But you know what pisses me off? It shows 3 Russian Tortoises and call them turtles? And I buy animals from Petco and think of me saving them! Cause whether I buy them or not they're still going to breed and sell them.

  • to vp of petco- you dont see this when you visit cuz they know when you coming and clean up all week prior.

  • that girl from petco is a bitch

  • petco and pet supermarket have sick injured animals. they care for them horribly wrong. the habitats are horrendous and not suitable for these animals.

  • its good that they buy them ? , what , do you want then to suffer there instead of someone buys them and treats them good and love them ? ,

  • this almost made me cry...especially when the baby guinea pig died man its hard to believ you spend so much money on pets and you are believing they are in top health and you take them home and love them and next thing you know they are somehow sick.....filthy bastards all they are trying to do is make money out innocent animals and animals deserve respect and a good life as much as we do and they certainly are not doing a good job at it

  • READ!!!NEVER SHOP IN PETSMART OR PETCO,WHY?WATCH:PETSMART'S LITTLE SECRET,AND MANY OTHER PROOFING VIDEOS . AND EVEN IF YOU THINK THAT YOUR LOCAL PETSMART OR PETCO DOESEN'T DO LIKE THAT ON THE VIDEOS TO ANIMALS, THE MONEY THAT YOU PAY FOR. EXAMPLE OF TOYS, IN THOSE SHOPS, GOES TO THE BIG ORGANISATION THAT CONTINUES DOING THIS SO, SHOP FROM STORES THAT DOESEN'T SELL ANIMALS, IN ANY SHOP OF THE CHAINS and get HEATHY HAPPY animals from local shelters.COPYPASTE everyone has the right to know!

  • Actually a couple petcos by my house are very nice, good clean cages, and plenty of food. Even Acceptable living space for most animals. Im not saying that petco is great, but this looks like one of the worst petcos ive ever seen. And they shouldnt compare this to every petco out there

  • the pet store near my house hat dead dogs on display a few months ago!!! Noone noticed that it was dead for 2-3 days!

  • @taboomoko yeah its a fuckin shame.....i have too many words to describe how despicable that is

  • I bought 2 leopard geckos and they both got vey very sick shortly after. One died and one was in HORRIBLE condition and i gave he to a rescue guy. My ball pyton was very thin and looked vey sickly for months after i got her I also noticed the other snakes she was with looked the same. I managed to nurse her back to health and i see no problems anymore. But from now on I buy only from reptile expos and breeders.

  • i bought a hamster form petco once, and he was really healthy

  • @Justineteen ofcourse all of them arent unhealhty, but youknow, the hamsters mom was probaby pained to death as a giving birth machine

  • A long long time ago I bought this baby Rat, she was the world to me. Everyone around me told me she was sick and shouldnt be adopted, but the employers said that she was just tired because she was "nocturnal". I adopt her anyway, named her Bessy. Turns out she was sick, very truly sick, vet said she wouldnt live more than nine months, but you know, you can make a difference and turn all of that around. With love and care, she lived to be five years old...

  • only on channel 5? I'm watching it on youtube!

  • @crazyjorge2111 haha outsmarted them

  • Yeah I bought a iguana from petco and a week later I found out he had mites....

  • @vBrusty yeah same with my friends iguana. He died only a week later

  • Sorry But i work at petco our store is nothing like this, this shows that some stores are not what there supposed to be

  • WELL IM NO LONGER GOING TO PETCO

  • I am never buying from them again!!!!

  • Those bitches better take care of those animals!!

What is SO GOD DAMN HARD about Changing the water, cleaning the cage, cleaning the food dishes.

    I MEANT COME ON !!!!

it takes less then 10 minutes to do all of those things (to 1 cage)

ITS NOT THAT GOD DAMN HARD AND PETCO SHOULD BE ASHAMED

  • Their exaggerating basically, they find one store what just happens to be in a crappy state. And they they take it as an opportunity to exploit the store. There is a bad side to every shop and it's no secret. How comes we never see any cruelty like so at our recent Petsmart? That's because most Petsmarts aren't all run by teens who probally don't take much notice of the pets. It depends on what staff you have. If the staff is young and careless then you might expect a few bad cases.

  • @Scullnblades

teens are stupid and wreckless ( even tho i am a teen i still take perfect care of all my animals)

they dont care about anyone but themselves and their social life.
