lol @stephenloof, just the same memories here! it was back in the days when Manga on VHS was just everything to me :-) (Ninja Scroll, Fist o.t.n. Patlabour and so on) Great movies of that time, no question about.

Anyone knows artist or title of the track on this trailer/teaser? It was right this version i had on my Uk version and since then i was searching for anything that helps, cause its just an excellent piece of video+music! Shame this thread is 4 years old so i guess im a bit late ^_^

Watch the 1st gig , 2nd gig and then the first and second movie. Then the story will be clear. The major's life is described briefly in 2nd gig. The reason she was transfered to a cyborg body. And about the first person she ever loved, and that guy happens to be the main criminal of the 2nd gig(until the disguise was over)

This movie is excellent, not a single frame is a waste...That's because this has a lot to do with Oshii's vision, the new SAC series are entertaining and more like the original manga, but are nothing compared to this film and Innocence...so sad that Motoko from SAC has not even a gram of the interesting and deep charachter of the first movie
