Punk is my favorite genre of all time, especially Ska Punk. Punk songs arent always the most tuneful but the lyrics are amazing dependent of bands obviously but check out Bad Religion, Nofx, Anti-flag, Streetlight Manifesto and ReelBigFish. All time greatest imo

@Mr75alms It's referring to bands like, The Clash and Sex Pistols. The ones that popularised punk, made it a big thing, and changed the society forever. Bands like the Dead Kennedys came about after it had started. If you listen to the lyrics, it talks about how the hippy culture went out of control. This is one of the main things punk changed. It kicked all the 'peace out' bollocks right in the face and told people to do something about their problems, rather than ignore them.
