  • Wonderful story!

    NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO

  • don't you know that Nichiren Daishonin stated that to correctly practice the true Buddhism is to follow the successive High Priests who will inherit the entirety of the Buddhism after the Daishonin, from the Daishonin himself. He says these golden words in his Gosho. He also says that in order for one to practice true Buddhim, this person must exactly follow what the Buddha says, no matter what happens. Only after doing so this person can be called the disciple of the Buddha.

  • Thanks for the positivity.

  • chanting for animals website

    ndbchantingforanimals(dot)org

  • please I'm new at Chanting and the Buddhism faith and want to learn more will you please help me!!!

  • what a nice story

  • Thank you.

  • I think much of this has to do with intent and the power of sound and energy...most people will not like this but I do... With that being so any sound chant that one can discover, will do for the physical benefits. Perhaps one must go on further with the teachings for more spiritual benefits. Right now I am willing to chant for the air-rial or environmental benefits..thanks for posting a lovely story...

  • Mark, this is a courageous experience. Where did you get your courage?

  • can i be christian and still do this

  • @stapes617 Absolutely!

  • My aunt once chanted for a friend she adored who she found out had tumours throughout his body. She was hysterical and chanted all night long for him. Very soon afterward the hospital told him that he had no tumors whatsover. She is now the head of a chapter of SGI. "A drowing man will grasp at a straw" Nam Myoho Renge Kyo CAN WORK MIRACLES! NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO, NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO, NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO, NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO, NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO, NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO, NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO!

  • Showing profound compassion for those unable to comprehend the gem of the doctrine of three thousand realms in a single moment of life, the Buddha wrapped it within the five characters [of Myoho-renge-kyo], with which he then adorned the necks of the ignorant people of the latter age" (WND 376)

  • I love your story. I too have my own story from back in 1970's and it proved to me that it works. Thank you for the story!

  • There is much to be said about faith/knowing in action. A wonderful, powerful, meaningful, story. Thank you for sharing it.

  • Thank you so much for this.

  • Hello! I'm YMD from Singapore Soka Association and I think your story will inspire a lot of people. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep chanting no matter what!

  • @ubetterwerq - thanks!

  • this is a good experience , it is obvious you are reading something and that is why you are looking to the side, the message is great. I had a similar experience. Peace

  • @Morgainell thanks!

  • Very encouraging experience, Marc. This must have been years ago or the doctor must have been into retro trend. The term 'respirator' dates back to the '70s.

I can see you tapped into a higher wisdom and insisted on the right solution, taking him off the machine.

The modern trend of ICUs is that we wean patients off the ventilators as soon as we can. I personally fight for that. Truly a Buddha's wisdom....Wow!

  • Truly amazing! That experience was so inspiring. Thank you so much! :)

  • Great guts!

  • grandpa was thrashing around while in a vegitative coma?

  • Truly Inspiring... Thank you very very much...

  • Thanks for sharing so widely in your rich experience! How brave of you to allow the lion's roar to powerfully speak!

  • Great story!;;;BUT

Is he reading this story off cue cards?

It sounds a bit ---rehearsed ?

  • @lev3269

Yes, I'm using some help from the experience I contributed to the book, The Buddha Next Door. I wish I could have memorized it!

  • @myoho321 the internet is becoming a very "transparent" form of communication, these days. I would suggest that you actually post a message that say you are "READING" excerpts from your book...otherwise viewers who are used to seeing " REAL" people talk, may wonder why you appear disconnected and robotish . Just a suggestion

  • @lev3269 When SGI member share thier stories sometimes they are repeating them to a lot of members because its something that is powerful for them. so I don't think it's rehearsed.

  • Thank you so much for that - I know exactly what you are saying believe me - and I also know we have hardly begun to touch the tip of the iceburg in relation to the power that chanting the Mystic law Nam myoho renge kyo has.

If you do another similar video, you could improve it tremendously by facing the cam straight on - don't be shy - give your video the same front on determination that you gave the doctors and your granpa.. Peace be with you...:o)

  • @matureasian

I agree. If we record more experiences from The Buddha Next Door we'll ask everyone to look directly into the camera. thanks for your suggestion.
