  • I had a friend that discovered that he enjoyed bicycling at about 70 years of age. His collection included a Moulton that he allowed me to take a short ride on and it was a very enlightening ride.. Too bad that BMW deviated from Alex Moulton's and Alec Issigonis' designs on their recreation of the Mini.

  • what the fuck.

  • Seems like an elitist bike if i ever saw one.

  • Yes I suppose it is really, but it's up there with Garrard, Rolex, Cartier etc, expensive indulgent, but superb in craftsmanship and ride quality. It is still possible to buy into the modern Moulton concept though with a TSR or Bridgestone model, both possess the superlative riding qualities of the New Series, without the enormous price tag. As for me I have a couple of 60s bikes, also very good, and much more my price range nowadays!

  • Did he ever adapt Hydragas for any of his bike designs??

  • not practical on a bike??? Ride one before making such a statement. My Moulton is wonderful, and the New Series is even better. Very comfortable rides, albeit at a high price since it is hand-made.

  • I agree, Moultons give a supremely smooth ride, even the old F frames when properly maintained ride like velvet.
