Palomino is a color =] But a forgivable mistake =]
I didnt see Andalusians anywhere on there? Look them up, they are my all time favorite... Well 1 is my all time favorite. My Andalusian =] He is my 'once in a lifetime' horse.
Beautiful creatures! But, I have to go with the Freisian for #1. Nice to see the Gypsy up there. Nice work! Not familiar with the Rocky Mountain though. Can you give some info?
the breeds are all of great worth, no one has mentioned the standardbred, a truly american creation, of great endurance and longevity whose bloodlines are now being infused with the rest of the worlds!! Look up all those that trot or pace!!! We have come a long way baby, from 2:40 for a mile to 1:46 and some for the mile. Some thing to think about. And yes, the palomino is a color, not a breed. The color does not breed true. Palomino to palomino does not guarantee a palomino foal.
I know the first Akhal-Teke! Her name is Karman, or it used to be. I don't know if the new owner re-named her or not. Karman was foaled by a friend of mine in southern Oregon! :)
I really thought that the Quarter Horse would be number one. Have you seen the you tube video of "Clinton Anderson and Mindy?" I think that you will really love it. Nice job on your video. Keep up the good work
i think u forgot belgian... they r SOO pretty!!! P.S. i LOOOVE horses, especially white ones, cuz my fav horse's name is Coleen, and i love her so much! i can't ride her anymore :( :( cuz the last time i rode on her, she was losing her vision, now she's almost completely blind. shes the most beautiful horse i've ever seen. i dedicate this comment to her. P.P.S awsome video! and, awesome shots of the horses!
deffo think arabs are more beautfiul than lipizanners but I love that you include the heavy horses, although check out Boulonnais heavy horses - stunning!!!
Palomino is a breed, but also a colour. Well, it's not very clear, there are people who say yes, and other who say no. For me, I say yes, it can be both.
@jeanniethegrinch The Palomino cannot be a true horse breed, however, because palomino color is an incomplete dominant gene and does not breed "true". A palomino crossed with a palomino may result in a palomino about 50% of the time, but could also produce a chestnut (25% probability) or a cremello (25% probability). Thus, palomino is simply a partially expressed color allele and NOT a set of characteristics that make up a "breed.
Good vid, but TBs are the most beautiful <3 they make me smile all the time. i can't remember a time when my favorite horse wasn't at least part TB. you should see my boy Cash. he is amazing, sweet, and the most beautiful horse i've ever met! that's just me, though :)
My best fav is the rocky too, they're just excellent, and I love their colours... So you have a delicate palate, but need a bit to learn more about horses! ;)
Thank you so much for including Clydies and my horse is a clydie x and now I am absessed with the big fellows!!! I love friesians and percherons and clydies and any crosses!!! hehe Thanks awesome video!!
donde dejaste las tres razas mas importantes, de las que derivan casi todas ., el pura raza arabe ,el pura raza español y el pura sangre ingles , sin ellas el caballo actual no seria nada.
In response to Cricket and Samcowgirl..The palomino is a color NOT a breed. Here is a quote from the PHA. "The Palomino Horse Association is a registry that does not discriminate against any breed. We recognize all breeds based on color and conformation. If a particular horse is not registered with a breed registry and the color proves to be Palomino we will register on color. We have horses from every breed registered with PHA. " Numerous breeds of horse have the palomino color.
@livebreathehorses Look again. That horse has feathers on his pasterns. The top parts have been clipped as is common in show grooming for Friesians. He's long-bodied and long-legged, and Friesians are definitely built leanly like warmbloods. That is no Morgan.
are u crazy the arabians tune breeds up. arabians shoukld b first not the rocky mountain horse thats a liver chestnaut coat!! cmon any breed can be that and palomino is a breede smart one, and ya that first morgan is a fresian
@TrentMc99 are you blind -_- i mean honestly. the video is labeled "MY top 10 most beautiful horse breeds. i don't really think your "opinion" is entirely relevant in this case. so um, shut up? k thanks bye.
The first horse listed as a "Morgan" is most def a Friesian you can even clearly see the feathering. I've been seeing a lot more finer Friesians lately than what I used to see many years ago. But yup...was a Friesian.
My opinion is that arabians are the prettiest. Not only do they have beautiful dished faces, they were also the root of most other modern horse breeds :)
@horsecrazygurl2010 Meh, I don't much like the dished face. I think it makes the horse's head look like a lightbulb. But each to his own. Thankfully not all Arabians have dished faces.
That's the first time I've seen Rocky Mountain horses as #1. They are very beautiful. I'm not sure what'd I pick as my #1, but I think I'd have Andalusians and Tiger horses on my list if I had one, as well as many from this list. (And yes, Arabians too, despite their heads; they're beautiful movers.)
mine appaloosas are my numder 1 favorite breeds. i have a feeling that u guys just leave the appaloosas out. i mean come on, arent the important and beautiful?
The palomino is a color resulting from a single creme gene expression on a chestnut horse...it is not breed as the color can be seen in several breeds...ie Welsh Cob, Morgan ,Quarter Horse etc
There is a BREED REGISTERY in the U.S. called the Palomino. I know where palominos came from and I'm not saying all palomino colored horses are that breed, but it IS in fact a breed that a horse can be registered as. Some of the most famous Reining horses in the world are Palominos.
@SamCowgirl658 Palomino is NOT a breed, and even the palomino registries are NOT breed registries. If you actually look up the registries they leave a blank to fill in the BREED of the horse. A Palomino is simply 2 chestnut genes and 1 creme gene (no black genes). And yes, lol, reining horses can be palominos.....it's the color, and color doesn't make the horse. Quarter Horses, Morgans, etc can be registered as the color Palomino...while Arabians can't (no creme gene)
@SamCowgirl658 If you don't believe me that's fine....it's not for me to make decisions for you. But then IF you feel you should reaffirm your decision....do your research. If you don't have a library around you, google is a great tool, you could even type "palomino registry" and you'd have at least the top 4 be actual registries, and all state that palomino is a COLOR. And yes, I went to pre-vet school at MSU as a strong helpful background for Morgan horse training.

10lslutten 1 month ago
@10lslutten not exactly. Palomino is a color, but any breed can be that color. Same as Pintos. There not a breed, but color.
arabianhorses4life13 1 month ago
@10lslutten The Palomino Club of America disagrees.
They are the registration body for horses that are
palomino in color. A palomino can be any breed of horse
that has the palomino color. It would be like saying
a black horse is a breed. A lot of horses of different
breeds can be black.
