  • the wasr seems more promising after watching this video but... ive been leaning towards the polish akms do you have any knowledge about which might be a better purchase?

  • @JugBrothers the Polish Model would be superior in quality

  • @DaytonaRoadster ok thanks i appreciate it in my area the polish runs about $550 ill just put some cash away for the next few months and ill get one...

  • @DaytonaRoadster and i've also been looking into polish tantals from CIA but i've heard some keyhole are there any particular years they were made or serial numbers i should look out for?

  • @JugBrothers thats when they first came out, those have been fixed long ago, anyone you buy today will have the right barrel on it

  • @DaytonaRoadster ok sorry about all these odd questions but im newer to anything thats not a .22 or a shotgun so is 5.45 more powerful than the .223? and is it more accurate than the 7.62x39?

  • If you think it's ok to buy guns from a country that doesn't even have any freeways connecting it to the rest of the world, go ahead. You will most likely stuck like chuck at the range.

    WASR=Jamo-o-matic

  • @LRRPFco52 3000+ rounds, not a single jam, but thanks for stopping by and being wrong

  • @DaytonaRoadster You lucked out. Every one I've seen is a piece of crap. Real Romanian AKM's are garbage. They break in the process of shooting. I also see a lot of seized chambers with the Romanian guns. They are garbage. If you got one that slipped out of the factory working, you're charmed or something. They often come broken or non-functional in the crates. I've been seeing this since 1994, so what do I know.

  • @LRRPFco52 i've own two, have shot several dozen, and have built a few Romanian kits...but hey, what do i know?

  • awesome vid.. thanks for posting.

  • The Bulgarian 40 rounders fit, feed and lock in perfect,No wobble. The original AK was stamped.

  • 3,000 rounds through mine and not one problem. I just hate the Tapco trigger its way to light. 2 1/2 pounds is way to light of a pull for a rifle like this. The trigger on my SKS M59/66 A1 is SO much better.

  • Best AK vid ive seen!

  • Do magazines lock into it without very much mag wobble?

  • @gerberboy0100 Some do, some don't. Make sure you check this prior to purchase.

They're fine rifles, dont get me wrong. Just go over it carefully before purchase.

  • @Saigax12 always good advice

  • @gerberboy0100 both of mine do. Keep in mine some SAIGA Russia rifles have mag wobble, hell my custom Gewher works AK-74 has mag dimples...AND still have a bit of mag wobble, its really more up to the mags than the guns

  • @AKHunter91 because he's an attention whore for 16 year old kids who talks out his ass. Most people who watch my vids actually want relevant information based on at least some facts, not a retarded voice and gun knowledge from call of duty,....also his was posted long before mine

  • @DaytonaRoadster This is a quality series! Finally an end to the support lacking "WASR rifles are cheap and crappy" line so commonly encountered on internet forums!

  • cuz. nodak spud and all the new flats dont have X and Y marks its only on warsaw rifles like russian, romanian, mine has them like yours on the video. i read up on the romanian rifles before i got one. in romania the factory pulls the recivers off the assembly line one for simi and the other for full

  • if im wrong but the romanian rifles came to century arms as is, then they but 922 parts on it. the recivers are from romania. cuz the american recivers dont come with the X and the Y marks and theres no manufacers marking on side just imported by century made in romania

  • @gpuckit i think your right, those seem to be the current production ones

  • @HiCapacity naw this is red polymer, i do have some bakelite AK-74 mags, but this one is polymer, they do look similar though and some of them are bakelite,

  • so we have 47 likes

  • @pimpjuice66632 niiiice

  • What kind of mag are you running on that AK it looks nice?

Also, where do you get it from?

  • @ScopedOUT2 its a polymer AK-47 tula "Red Dawn"mag, you can get them from RGun dot net for about $50.00

  • i purchased my 10/63 in 09 and the only problem i had was the last ten rounds of any mag ( poly or steel ) would not feed at all! the mag had to be removed and reinserted. the problem was actually the mag well was too narrow. a couple of passes with a dremel tool and the problem was solved. other than that i have had zero malfunctions.

  • Good informative vid man, subscribed.

  • Ive had my wasr for bout a year now and i have not had any problems with it. ive put bout 1500 to 2000 rounds through it so ive got no complaints

  • Thanks man! Great review! Going to get one tomorrow with Christmas money =)

  • i just got mine and put only about 30 rounds through it but maybe 5-6 of those the bolt stuck 3/4 foward is that just it breaking in or the ammo or what?

  • @SamuelSavage777 thats a fairly common problem, try polshing up the rails, there are some vid on youtube about how to fix it too

  • Dude I love my WASR. I have never had any issues. If your WASR is a POS chances are you dont know shit about guns. I hand picket mine, I also have a saiga SGL 21 and I would use either one in a SHTF situation. Keep up the good work bud!!

  • oh ya one more thing about my wasr 10 63 uf the pin that holds the trigger assembly to the reciever is loose i can pull it out by hand,it sucks i have to push it back in after every shot what should i do?

  • @shaneel07 the shepards hook is not correctly in place, what a vid on here about AK sherpards hook, DONT FIRE IT AGAIN untill you fix it, its real easy

  • @DaytonaRoadster how do i fix it? should i take it to a gunsmith?

  • @shaneel07 no its easy to fix, but its hard to explain it, i'll send you a vid on how to fix it

  • Finally..a no B.S assessment from an actual WASR owner. Good video

  • Comment removed

  • can you put a fixed stock on a wasr 10 63 underfolder?

  • @shaneel07 no, its a different rear trunion

  • @DaytonaRoadster how much would it cost to convert it?

  • thank u for the vid.my wasr was good stock and i did a rebuild on it now its sweet shoots bout 1 1/2 at 100.

  • extremely informative video! thanks

  • how do you know what year your ak is? Where does it say?

  • Im trying to trade my remington 700 30-06 ADL for a Romanian G clone. The guy riveted it himself. He claims he does good work but what should I be looking for when I go to look at the AK? What problems can come from the rifle not being riveted correctly?

  • @AlbanianGG I'm sending you a link.

  • Does your underfolder have a chrome lined barrel? I was debating whether to get a polish or romainian underfolder but buds is neglecting to state if either are chrome lined or not.

  • @rebelsks mine does, yes

  • Great video bud!

  • NEVER had a problem with either but I did but krebs custom retainer in it, love em. great vid me added to favorites!

  • WASRs are actually built in Romania from Military parts on a single stack receiver and then the completed single stack WASR is imported with a welded muzzle nut and a thumb hole stock. Century Arms them mills out the magwells to take double stack magazines. If you look at the magwell on most you can see in the white steel. They also modifies them in all sorts of various ways including putting the under folding stock on and/or a fixed AKM stock. In Summary, WASRs are converted single stack AK's.

  • great video. very informative. cut through a lot of bull. thank you for making it.

  • great video. very informative. cut through a lot of bull.

  • My Romanianian doesn't have any triangle stamp on the receiver. It's dated 1988 by crujer (?) may be mis spelled. What do you think it is?

    Thanks,

    Sal

  • @F3YAW its most likely the non-miltary ban-era model made for export

  • @F3YAW

What kind of quality do you think I should expect? It wasn't the cheapest gun on the table but all the #'s match, the sights and G/B are straight as a string, and thr rivets are great. Min mag wobble, and a crome lined barrel. One other thing, I put a cheap red dot on a Q/R side mount, but is so high I can't get a cheak weld. How high will the cheak rest on the stock in your 2nd wasr vid rise?

( is there any more truth about Wasr's?)

Thanks for the vids and reply

    Sal

  • the date on my wasr 10/63 says 1969 on it and it has the tapco trigger and all that but dose this mean my ak is a pecie of shit

  • @thebtrlife no, acutally the ones with the dates closer to 1963 are superior to the later models, the crappy WASRS are the ones right after the ban, if you got one with TAPCO trigger its the improved model.

  • @thebtrlife Center internation firearms had to do some things to bring em in through coustoms but yeah i got the AKU WASR 19** out of 4782 all black tapco love it its the real romainian AK47

  • very informative vid man, just wondering, I just got a wasr10 (not 10/63), I heard about the "improvements" after 07/08, mine has a tapco G2 trigger. Was that installed after 07/08?, im assuming they COMPLETELY stop selling/distrubuting any wasr 10's prior to 07/08, just want to make sure the gun shop didnt just sell me a wasr 10 that was sittin around in their inventory since 06 for full price

  • @ridemytube247 yes you have a newer model, the older ones did not have the G2 trigger, unless someone went through the trouble to add one, which i doubt for WASR rifles.

  • @DaytonaRoadster im really digging these vids. just curious, how do you like the underfolder vs a fixed stock? any excessive wiggle?

  • @Grunt922 underfolder isnt comfy to shoot, and over time it can loosen, but right now mine works just fine

  • I own a lot of AKM rifles i just bought a WASR 10 from a friend of mine for $150 i need to refinsh it.

  • @kmontano1234 Apex's Bulgarian AK74 wood + Wasr = win

  • I have an Arsenal, its one of their Bulgarians though so it's not made from a sporter. :D That being said all of those people who say that Arsenals are crap are mistaken. I have actually dogged my Arsenal pretty good, and it still runs fine. The WASRs are great too, can't beat them for the money. I think most of the WASR whining is gunsnob people. Thank you for dispelling the WASR myths.

  • @EHSPP16 no problem

  • @EHSPP16 Someone actually said Arsenals are crap? There's no such thing as a crappy AK, much less ones made at Izhmash that cost that much.lol

  • Good video

  • @Iancwilliamson parts 3 and 4 comming soon

  • Good video, one correction. The receiver is the Romy one. It was imported as a single stack gun like you said. But when they get here century cuts the mag well open to take double stack mags. That why some were a bit loose, or tight. You can buy a single stack WASR and open it up your self to be sure you get a snug fit. A little side to side play wont hurt a thing. Forward and back can be bad.

  • @Smith03 i think the early one were on a American reciever, but u are right the current ones are on a Romanian one

  • So if you want something a little better what is an option. Id like wood non folding furniture.

  • @Fahrenheit38 the Yugos and Bulgarian models are nice

  • @GearCrusher45 whats wrong with it?

  • Ima gunna have to say a aresenal sporter version is more mill spec then a junky wasr-10 lol

  • @TheMango121 they are superiorly built, but they do use non-mil spec parts

  • @DaytonaRoadster

The handguards? That's about all I see on my SGL31.

They even have Kalashnikov seal of approval. That's mill spec enough.

I want a wasr-10 to just shoot large amounts of ammo lol.

They still going for 300 bucks?

  • @TheMango121 the handguards melt, the finish comes off, they jam with small amounts of dirt, AK47Master has a whole vid about them , they are NOT mil-spec, just AK range guns. Kalashnikov will endorse anything, that really doesmt mean much, epscially since he A. Was part of the Commitee that designed it, and B. It Hugo Smizher's baby, based off his STG-44. If you look hard enough, you'll find them for $300-400

  • @DaytonaRoadster

Mine hasn't melted, of coarse I don't shoot 500 rounds through it in 5 minutes. Mines never jammed! Its got 3 tins of 1080 round Russian surplus!

Im speaking about the sgl31, which is a AKM copy. In terms of classic AK-47 style, then no... and arsenal isn't mill spec for 1947.

Arsenal's ak's are based off of current ak design, which has changed alot over the last 60ish years.

And define "mill-spec" A copy of current rifles IS millspec.

PTR-91's are HK91 copies, thus millspc

  • @TheMango121

PLus AK master carried a fuckin AK in public, which is kinda stupid. And then he wonders why cops come around him with guns drawn. No point in carrying a AK.. we aren't in a warzone.

  • @TheMango121 it is his right to carry it...though i dont blame the cops for being scared

  • @GearCrusher45 Rape your mom. The Mac-90 isn't much better. i own both Wasr 10/63 UF and Norinco Mac-90. Both are great rifles.

  • Good video my Man! I have had a few of these and have never had a single problem out of them. If you know what to look for from the start I don't think anyone will be disappointed with one of these AK's. (other than the smell of them out of the box LOL)

  • how did you get a under folder on a war 10

  • @WildLifeGuy308 WASR 10s do come with straight stocks and underfolders, i got this one at a gun show

  • @DaytonaRoadster o cool this is the first one with a underfolder i have ever seen

  • @WildLifeGuy308 yup, they are out there

  • @GearCrusher45 ya gotta start somewhere

  • The Romanians didn't fire them much, they were too busy messing around with underage girls.

  • Will the ATF ever let easier imports?

  • @SuperMegaCyrus Few people ever let go of power once they have it willingly, so i doubt it

  • @SuperMegaCyrus Probably not.
