I think they could find more remote wilderness unpopulated regions, to designate as "wild" regions where forest fire fighting is unnecessary. That should reduce costs to taxpayers, and more concentrate resources where they are actually need. Forests are far too vast, with too much fuel, in an atmosphere of seeming unlimited oxygen, to prevent natural summertime droughts from fueling natural, sometimes expanding, wildfires.

Sarcasm? Huh? I say there should be some accurate perspective. When news reports of huge expanding wildfires, what they fail to mention, is that more than 99% of California, actually isn't on fire. Of course any dramatic forest fire of any size, makes for ratings news, especially if it affects people.
