But now that the company came out with the beautiful Granturismo and redesigned Quattroporte, it would seem they are taking off again. however I feel like the introduction of the Kubang is a bad omen of what Fiat will to to the brand in the future.

The Biturbo ruined Maserati reputation in the 80s. It's because of that ugly thing that classic Maser like the Ghibli and the Sebring are worth far less than Ferraris and Lamborghinis. That "thing" is a bit like the Aston Martin Cygnet : not worthy of beeing an Aston.

Seems I 've mistaken the general rule for it's only exception. All post 1980s Maseratis are largly based on the Biturbo legacy in terms of engines and way till the late 1990s even architecture.
