  • before his acciedent he should've check the weather report before 6 months later. then it happened RIP #05 Brocky best race driver ever PS: I keep pictures up in my room.

  • That car corners like it's on rails!! And the sound of that engine, amazing, I've watched it over and over again. He was one of Australia's best driver and a living legend. Rest in peace Peter.

  • Damn.......that sounded special!

    Great vid

  • wait was this the race he died in or was that a later race

    rip brocky 05

  • @monaroboy124 Nah mate. This was about 6 months BEFORE the accident and the same one he died in.

As a side note Mick Hone (Navigator) got car sick in this car driving it to this care at Lake Mountain.

Apparently coming thru the Black Spur he got real badfumes inside the car and was real sick when he arrived.

  • Very similar corner to the one he died on.

  • is there some film material of the crash??

  • @SuperK0rn what the fuck for, you morbid cunt..

  • Built by HRT full holden driveline, basically a v8 supercar in an old school shell. Problem is with rally, you can have the best build and safest car but nothing will save you when your heading side on into a tree at 200+kph. Man is smart but nature will always get the better of us

  • Didn't know when to stop racing.

  • beautiful.

    that is all.

  • AWESOME :-)

  • Time to set the record straight. The car IS NOT A SHELBY COBRA COUPE. Apart from the shape, it has nothing in common with a 'Shelby'. All Shelby's used FORD mechanicals, this car uses GM (Holden) mechanicals from the 5.7L LS1, 6L LS2 or the 7.0L LS7 and Tremec TKO 600 Close ratio 5 speed trans. It is built in Australia and it uses a mild-steel space-frame chassis that incorporates an integral steel Roll Cage to C.A.M.S./F.I.A. certification.

Google 'Daytona Sports Cars Pty Ltd' for more info.

  • so this is more of a cheetah then a cobra coupe :)

  • @baldyoldfart

good onya mate glad thats sorted out hate to think he died in a ford

  • Car sounds f*ckin fabulous, listen to those easy third gear lope, than just the way it pulld out of the corner. light car- big engine, recipe for great fun or disaster.

  • Unfortunately you're right... the recipe indeed ended in disaster.

  • may he rest in peace.

  • y dosnt that car have a roll cage??

  • i thought u were taking the piss..but if you look at the vids of the wreaked car there is actually no roll cage..but if thats the case then the targa rally shouldnt of let brocky rally doesnt matter who he was or how good he drove..great possablilty had the car had a decent roll cage he may still be with us

  • @GreendragonDMX1

There is definitely a roll cage,.

  • There sure is. I have pics on my webshots of this car showing the drivers cockpit VERY WELL and you can see the roll cage in there.

  • @MrToober Huh??? Of COURSE he has a fucking roll cage. What's your point? it's a race car. Race cars have roll cages. Go back to tiddlywnks fuckhead.

  • @PeterHBne1 Umm....I made a comment 10 months ago in response to a couple of people asking why the car DIDN'T have a roll cage. I was simply pointing out that it did.

Off to find my tiddlywinks set as suggested :-)

  • @MrToober I may have misunderstood your point. I was REALLY drunk at the time.....sorry mate!!!!

  • @PeterHBne1 Haha no worries. Can't believe its 4 years already.

  • @MrToober I know! Let's hope Lowndes/Skaife pull it off for the big guy this year.

  • RIP Brocky. Tarmac magazine ran a full feature on the Daytona Sports car two years after his crash, and interviewed the car builder in a very interesting and delicately handled story. Google tarmac magazine. Issue #3.

  • R.I.P. Peter Brock

    R.I.P. Shelby Cobra Daytona

  • what kind of car is that tho? looks kinda similar to that old farrari

  • Shelby Daytona

  • we miss ya brocky!!!

  • wow that sounds beautiful, sticks to the road like as if its on rails.

  • Sorry Mallamoozoo but your negative comments like that aren't needed here.

  • thats what i say

  • how could u not kno who peter brock is.

  • @mildura22 well... I didn't know until now. is that a problem?

  • REALLY??? He was ONE of the greatest of not the best drivers in Australia.

  • You're really going to reply to someone whose name is "sk8ter829"? idk? bff? Prolly 13.

  • Correction he was ONE of the greatest drivers in the world!!

  • he was the best from his time...

  • that car sound is magic like the man peter brock R.I.P u were speed itself.

  • What a great sounding little car that was.

It brings back good and bad memories.
