Samanosuke and Tenkai are the same person. In Dawn of Dreams he was called Tenkai. If you watched the ending for Dawn of Dreams you'd know Tenkai is Samanosuke.

Brilliant opening sequence. Seems like a waste spending so much money on it when the gameplay doesn't even match up to it. Metal Gear Solid has great cutscenes and great gameplay and an amazing story-line. It's not that hard to do. Devil May Cry 3 had great cutscenes and some what decent gameplay but similar story-line to Inuyasha, don't really know or care who came first but you get the point. Very few games have that complete feel to it, over all. I guess every game can't be a masterpiece.

The Onimusha series is awesome. The gamplay was suppose to be reminiscent of Resident Evil which it was designed after. It started out being developed as a "ninja resident evil game". And it does that perfectly.

That's why I didn't like the Onimusha series, because of the Resident Evil gameplay. Those controls were broken and frustrating. I remember when the remake of the first Resident Evil for the Gamcube and the graphics were really good for a GCN game. But to a great surprise they didn't fix the controls, or at least tweak them a bit to not alienate newcomers to the series. Then Resident Evil 4 came out and blew us away. That game was a masterpiece. I'll be patient for an Onimusha re-build.

the boken control sceam was intentional. It was used to highten anxiety and fear. Which i also think worked perfectly. Sort of like that damned flashlight in Doom 3. Besides they fixed the broken control issue with 3 and Dawn of Dreams. If you use the analogue stick the direction you tilt the stick is the direction you move. It made it a hell of a lot better so check it out. 3 is my personal fave. I have all the onimusha games including tactics for the GBA.
