Apparently you dont understand probability too good. You need more than your AS degree. What you study to get an AS degree in the US, actualy in Europe, China etc is studied in high school. Have you heard of IB, A levels, or Abitur. Google it up.

Probability and Indeterminism should not be equated with quantum theory. There is an excellent book "Philosophy of Physics" by Lawrence Sklar that I highly recommend. Also the book "Quantum Generations" by Kragh, which is a historical account. But make sure you know something about quantum mechanics before attempting to interpret its implications or create false analogues.
I think your thinking right and your probably a lot smarter than you let yourself think you are. Good luck..We are all trying to figure out where Quantum Theory comes from and is going and there are so many variables that we need as much processing power as possible ie your brain and mine.
Is it possible that everytime we try to observe quantum mechanics, we are only seeing one possibility, and in the process by our observance, we created reality. This could bring into question other parallel dimensions where the other proabilities lie. So we observe life only through our dimension. Like a 2D world would never understand height or mass. In christianity, God is a trinity. In Hinduism, there's a trimurti. Physically, we're all 3 dimensional, yet still 1 person. Makes you wonder.
