How ignorant can you be, and the announcers! This save has nothing, zero, to do with SKILL!!! IF we could replay that scenario again, it go's in 9 of 10 times!!!
Great Save? NOT!
LUCKY SAVE? 100% of course it was!!!
Did it take great skill to put his stick there? NO!
Could you have done that? Yes you could have!!!
Go ahead try It. Get a stick and drop it, grab it, reach back with it. Wow! That took amazing skill. NOT!
Ummm why are you posting the same shit as greaylaidler? Also why the hell are you reply that shit to me? I only said shit about bandwagoing, idiot. How can you say luck has to do with something he put quite a bit of effort into?
Funny! The Washington goalie, Varlamov, made a save exactly the same on Crosby the other night, and when they interviewed Varlamov he said he "just reached not knowing where the puck was going at it was only LUCK!!!"
One goalie's luck is not necessarily another's. You're only speculating.
Varlamov isn't even a proven goaltender. One series, even one season doesn't prove a goaltender's greatness. Don't believe me? Look who Varlamov replaced. Hart trophy one season to bench warmer the next.
Well If greatness is measured by Stanley Cups and Gold medals, then you have to admit Martin Brodeur is a great goaltender, because he's won multiple Stanley Cups, an Olympic Gold Medal, an World Cup of Hockey championship, multiple Vezinas, a Calder trophy, multiple Jennings trophies, and has has nominations for Hart trophies and other awards.
If a goaltender's greatness is measured by the hardware in his trophy room, Brodeur is one of the greatest ever, according to your logic.
Greatness is measured by how good the team is combined with how good the goalie is. For example; Brodeur was benefactor of good teams in front of him, thus the cups. Luongo will never win anything because he is terrible. Cam Ward won his weak team Carolina by being a good goalie and winning the cup for them!
So winning trophies has to be because of the goalie! And Luongo can not and will not do that! Brodeur had a good team in front of him!
Since the lockout, Brodeur hasn't had nearly the team in front of him. Yet, he continues to win Vezinas, and other personal awards. It's only this year that the Devils have started to return to their competitive ways.
The hurricane's cup team was hardly a weak team. Ward was the best player on the team, but he hardly carried them. Ward hasn't been nearly the goaltender since that cup, and he's definitely not the cane's best player. Staal has that honor.
alright, your really starting to sound like a dick. i'm not even kidding. you said goalies with awards are good goalies and brodeur had all of that, then you say something completely different. think of it this way, the greatest goalie in the world, whoever it is, would never win a cup or gold medal if he had crappy teams in front of him. if a team gave up 100 shots, a goalie would most likely give up 10 goals a game, still having an awesome save percentage. lets just watch luongo's gerat save.
It was a GREAT save b cuz he took the time to PICK up his stick, and during that time... they could have SCORED a goal.. but i guess San Jose failed at doing so, they were a lil too late.
goalie guru go FUCK YOURSELF... i dont give a fuck about ur 13 year old son who can not do that...really does he play for a nhl team i dont think so..so dont take shit about luongo
you think your all that but the truth is youre not so isnt your son and ur wife and do u wacth videos to make fun of the player then get a life because you really need one
buddy my 5 year old cousin doesnt say that anymore..and you know no shit u low life always looking for ways to make other players look bad..well FUCK YOU GOALIE GURU
It doesn't change the fact this was not a great save and anyone could do what he did here on this lucky save and that is the point!!!
Whether my son makes it or not is a childish comment, and not the subject matter. By avoiding or changing the topic proves I am right because you are no longer arguing it!
By the way. People avoid and change tops or just plain ignore you not because you're right, but because, like talking to a brick wall, no amount of arguing, right or wrong is going to get you to admit that you're wrong.
I mean, for fucks sake. You have the audacity to say that kinesiologists who have spent years performing sound scientific experiments on actual NHL goaltenders are wrong about their claims about a goaltenders reaction abilities.
There conclusion you made there was completely pulled from your ass. Why would anyone with any common sense and reason say that this save was all skill and no luck? I just said in the post above that goaltenders get lucky, and its obvious luck was a factor in him making the save! Learn how to interpret and understand the things you are reading!
does your fuking son take a shot from a nhl player i dont think so he plays with avergre people you faggot...GET A LIFE..deal with the fact luongo is better than you your son and your whole fucked up family
there showin it in slow motion thats why it looks easy but it happened in less then 2 seconds..and i play goalie for my team and its hard not easy it just looks easy..YOU AND MOST PEOPLE THAT ARNT PROFENSAILS CANT MAKE THAT SAVE
k sure anybody can pick up the stick but they wouldnt be able to make the save. Picking up the stick doesnt matter, it matters how the goalie saved the puck.
How ignorant can you be, and the announcers! This save has nothing, zero, to do with SKILL!!! IF we could replay that scenario again, it go's in 9 of 10 times!!!

How ignorant can you be, and the announcers! This save has nothing, zero, to do with SKILL!!! How many times has a goalie reached back a stick like that and the puck GO'S IN? Thousands! Far more go in than the LUCKY save you see here! IF we could replay that scenario again, it go's in 9 of 10 times!!!
Great Save? NOT!
