This show places 10 volunteers (however more may be added soon) into a post-apocalyptic situation in the city of Hollywood, where they have to adapt to the new conditions to survive. Albeit it is a 'reality' show, all 'reality' shows incorporate exaggerated acting. However, I still recommend the show.

Mike is important to the colony but he only points out others faults and non of his. As I stated earlier he makes a big deal of security but when left in the warehouse he does nothing to secure the place. I believe, this is my opinion only, that the reason for this is because there is no one there for him to lord it over about how important his is. With that being said let me ask this, if this was true is it a good idea to let those women be seen by outsiders? I don't think it's a good idea.

The problem is that Mike wants to be the only one that can do anything thereby making himself the de facto ruler of the colony. When Mike complains about the shower over security after the break-in he magically forgets that he was one of the first to take a shower, on complaints then. When seven of the colonist went looking for supplies the three left behind, that includes Mike, did nothing to secure the warehouse yet he complains the loudest when in fact he hasn't went forging once.

No doubt kess this is true but he can't keep complaining about security when he lets it go for hours and days . Security next to water should have been the very first thing to do, make sure your spot is secure then work on comfort.

California laws wouldn't allow them to have a gun on the show. Also it would endanger the lives of the actors and crewmen filming the show. plus they used gunpowder from shotgun ammo to make some fireworks to signal that didn't even work. If this show wasn't scripted someone would have built makeshift shotgun from some of the steel piping they had there. Of course ATF would come knocking down the door though.

If you looked at the episode when they were attacked, George clearly said we should reinforce the backyard and Joey said "I'm not worried about it." Mike and Joey are hotheads who make wrong decisions all the time. Joey was the one who gave up all kind of info to the black guy while everybody else was against it. Mike was also against the wood gas and then when it worked, he still didn't want to admit he was wrong.
