While it's not heavy, I do agree that this Audrey sometimes sounds as if she has some kind of Pakistani accent, but only here and there. I'm so glad someone explained the Mary Poppins reference, other than her being an airborne figure.
@manmadepix Well, I certainly did not intend to sound Indian. If you listen and watch the Audrey interview with Phil Donahue that is on YouTube, I really was patterning the vocal impression on the way she speaks there.
@txquis I do not hear the Indian accent at all. But I've seen enough Audrey Hepburn interviews to get what you were going for and, IMO, you succeeded. Good job!
That's you? You're a genius. Genius! And have you noticed that in every Hepburn movie, whenever she has to get angry, all she can muster is a growly but ultra feminine "Ooooooooooooooh!"?
For the uninitiated, Audrey Hepburn, a lovely actress but not a singer, was chosen for the film version of My Fair Lady, despite the fact that Julie Andrews had created the role of Eliza Doolittle, and had performed it onstage for years. Subsequently, Andrews was given the role of Mary Poppins, for which she, not Hepburn, won the Oscar in 1964.
@fossefan Haaa! Jeff here, the voice artist of this.....She would have had a Jet Blue moment if I'd only thought of it. Perhaps there will be a part two.
I abslolutly loved it! I had the mean reds until I saw this lovely funny brilliant video. Almost as wonderful as spending a day at Tiffanys! (When are you going to do Elizabeth Taylor? The posiblities are endless with her.)
"Mustart", "They clash with everything", "Dude Where's my car?" and "Oh, no not again...ignore her!" are four of my now most priceless, priceless comments! I loved Audrey Airlines!
DYIIINNNNNGGGG AAHHAkdahnackawnnfd Im dying Im dying ohhhhhh that was so funny I wish you could of seen me laughing my face was like red and stuff and tears were coming.
As you can tell, I didn't wait until I'd stopped laughing before I started typing my comment. Best ever. Thank you again punchy players.
jeff love your judy voice... would love to talk to you about doing some recordings for a show i'm working on. hope to talk soon. Rich randwplace@cox.net
Jeff, your vocal impersonations are astonishing and the scripts are hilarious. Once again, after watching this video, I am wiping tears from my eyes from laughing so hard. And Chris' whimsical illustrations just add fuel to the outrageous fire. You guys are an AWESOME team! (And the Julie Andrews reference is diabolically clever!)
WHY DONT YOU HAVE A SHOW!???

Having been a huge fan of PunchyPlayers, I was surprised to find Audrey's voice so off the mark. Why, she sounds as if she has an Indian accent!
