Kishoreda and Rafi Saab , equally great ... Kishoreda was a true genius with a great timbre and resonance to his voice, his energy and understanding of the needs of a song are truly outstanding. Rafi on the other hand was the epitome of Bollywood playback, with a golden romantic , silky sound . Rafi was able to evoke all emotions to its maximum. Both singers acknowledged each other's greatness. We were blesssed with these two Gods

  • The most ridiculous thing, I believe is when people compares the ability of great singers like rafi and kishore, mannada or rafi, hemant kumar etc.etc. etc. This shows their own ignorance. We Indians are so lucky that we have these kind of musicians in our country who also itself as a person used to be or uses to be so great. Hats off to all of them and I say one must worship all of them for their individuality.

  • great song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watch the high quality version in my profile. This song is a gem. So hear it like it's meant to be heard ;)

  • Great Rafi sahib,great voice.

  • a great song and it is heart touching. suhana song

  • All those who wrote all this rubbish things abt others country instead of abt Rafi's songs, they r simply BEWAKUUF bcoz song n music has no boundaries so jst listen Rafi's beautiful songs n forgt abt urs n othrs weaknesses okkkkk so jst chilll bcoz yehi khasiyat hai hamare Rafi Sahab ki wo hamein hamare gamon se kuch der k lye hi sahi par nijat dila dete hain or mud badal dete hain----------- isn't true?????

  • RAFI SAHAB U R GREAT

  • its really sad how some ppl can post comments bout rafi saab being a pakistani and how he attained fame in india.....behenchoods pls try 2 understand 1 thng Rafi saab attained immortality because he didnt sing for any country.....music was his religion and I thnk we shud respect tht.....ths is not the india pak border....itz the sweet realm of rafi saabs voice....

  • Dont do mud sludging, had rafi been there, he would have felt sad on these kind of statements.... Rafi is from music world which has no boundries.......... ha... enjoy the voice.......wa..................

  • excellent!

  • The song makes really really great impact when we listen it in silent and solitude. Hats off to rafi saab and naushad saab.

  • May Allah reward you with Jinnah Muhammad Rafi :)

  • You are sad strange little things. Rafi didn't belong to any country or village. He belonged to the world - a point you just can't see.

  • Its really sad that people are trying to even call him Indian or Pakistani, He is without doubt one of the greatest singers ever and has given the world, some very unforgettable songs. Just because some politicians decided to cut this land into pieces do we really have to cut our hearts into pieces as well? Please enjoy his songs, he was a wonderful human being and that should be left at it.

  • you have very short knowledge brother. He born in Kotla Sultan Singh which is a village in the Amritsar district of Punjab, and now it is in Pakistan. anyway you will never ever accept this bitter truth. He was a legendary Pakistani.

  • @080400537 - Yes, and Musharraf, Liaqat Ali Khan, Nazimuddin, Bogra, Fazlul Huq, Suhrawardi, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, and Iskander Mirza and millions of others, by your definition are all legendary Indians and Bangladeshis too, am I correct?

LOL! With such a low level of intelligence, is it any wonder why you jokers have made Pakistan into a failed nation-state?

Compared to geniuses and giants like Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and others 50 years ago, today Pakistanis have become rather dull minded.

  • @pistachioguy Are you are trying to logically reason with today's Pakistani? Its a lost cause. Its like trying to teach mathematics to a monkey. It would be an unbelievable feat if you succeed.

  • @niksaturn - I agree. It is amusing to see the antics some Pakistanis get up to. I have known many Pakistanis who are great people - but equally have I known Pakistanis who are absolute knaves and scoundrels.

It is distressing when one finds them willfully turning their back on all the wonderful common heritage the South Asian sub-continent shares, and imparting a "super-Islamic" spin on everything.

Even the Arabs, the US, England, Indians, and Chinese all equally reject and repudiate them.

  • @pistachioguy I feel sorry for them, but they have only themselves to blame. These days they are in a depressed mood, with nothing to cheer or celebrate. Their economy is in dire condition, they are getting slapped around by the US and in general have an existential crisis. They believe in conspiracy theories because reality is too sad and keep making outrageous claims (in every possible forum) which sane people can only laugh at. They are collectively in depression but they don't realize it.

  • The greatest singer India has ever produced He was a true Indian by birth as well as by choice . He took his first and last breath in India, sang Indian songs composed and written by Indians.

  • A true Pakistani singer "Muhammad Rafi". we will never ever forget you. you make us(Pakisatnis) proud.

  • @080400537 son he was never pakistani so stop lieing to ureself and give ure ego a rest,, he was born in a village in Amritsar , in his late teens he worked in a hairdresser in lahore----- all this before partition and when partition he chose in India................

  • very nice song.....no way disliking.....this less number of like is showing that we Indians are slowly forgetting this legend INDIAn singer....
