  • "Cabaret" is the only film to win 8 Oscars without also winning "Best Picture."

  • What about 1960 and 1971 Oscar Winners?

  • the godfather should have won best film editing as well. if u watch the sequence where michael's nephew is baptized and the heads of the five families are murdered is the greatest piece of film editing ever.

  • The Oscar for Best Director to Bob Fosse is well deserved, The Godfather is a great movie, but Cabaret is more than a musical, is a very artistic movie, however... The Godfather Part II is better

  • You know that Limelight originally came out in 1952. Right?

  • @ThomasDeCosteTV Yes, I know that. What's your point?

  • @GregNJ720 I'm saying it didn't came in Los Angelas until 1972 and that is where the Academy is from.

  • I still can't believe Cabaret didn't win Best Picture.

    Amazing film.

  • @PhilipWunelle You didn't like The Godfather?

  • @PhilipWunelle Against The Godfather, it didn't stand a chance. Just about any other year, Cabaret would have won it, going away.

  • @PhilipWunelle if u honestly thought it was better than the godfather then ur probably on crack

  • @Stephanie3189 Shelley Winters for this role? She does give a magnificent performance in "Next Stop, Greenwich Village". However, she was not nominated for the Oscar for this film because she insisted on being nominated in the Best Actress category. Clearly, it was a supporting performance. Too bad. Otherwise, I think she might have won.

  • doesnt any body think its weird that cabaret won 8 oscars and The Godfather only won 3

  • @42shazam it is a bit odd by today's standards, but then again Cabaret excels in each of it's categories.

  • @42shazam cabaret was a strikingly original piece of work.

  • @dhall2511 WoW Limelight over The Godfather you suck how bout you admit it that you dont know anything about movies.

  • @Hemloch I know alot about films thank you.

Chaplin was treated like crap by the Academy.

  • @dhall2511 Oh. I don't get your choices. Sentiment, perhaps?

  • @jkfromcincty MISTAKE

the song of video is the film the towering inferno of 1975

  • @cinerama180 the song is correct. is The morning after, from "the poseidon adventure". the song from the towering inferno is " we may never love this way again" also performef by maureen McGovern.

  • @jkfromcincty Best supportingactor Al Pacino best lead actor Marlon Brando

  • @Snako85 Pacino had much more screen time than Brando and he should have been nominated (and won, in my opinion) in the Best Actor category. At the time, Pacino was little known and subjugated to the supporting category so Brando could win the Oscar. Apart from that, I certainly have no problem with Brando's win. His is a great performance.
