It isn't 'freedom from religion' and that isn't in the Constitution. It is freedom from the government establishing a religion or preventing religion from establishing itself. (ie. any religion is free to worship, etc.) you have that backwards. Also, we are all endowed with inalienable rights from God, including therefore absolute equality at birth (even if a Downs baby or unwanted, for example) Yet this does not mean equality of outcome. Yep. The Jeffersonian Democrats were the last to really cut government, but that was the 1830s. Since then, and ESPECIALLY under Republicans like Hoover, Lincoln, Bush(s), Reagan, they have only grown government.
So have the Democrats, but at least they don't lie about it. Democrats are honest enough to admit that they want more government.

Oh, the simple minds. 1) You can be a socialist AND a patriot. The two are not mutually exclusive, 2) The institution of the US military is owned by the US citizenry who fund it through their taxes. That's socialism. Just like public school teachers who also work for a socialist system and tend to be very patriotic. Try again.

In every such case, "socialist solidarity" has been crushed by patriotism. The two ideas do NOT actually get along well, if you bother to study history.
You also twist words. The Founding Fathers allowed for a military paid from the common purse. That is NOT socialism. Look up "govt. owning the means of production" for that.

Interestingly, I met about a years ago, a young (thirty-five or so) doctor from Caracus who said after he returned there after internships in USA that Chavez made it impossible for him to stay and bring up his children as he had benn brought up !
And that the only thing he tells people if they ask, is that Obama (before election) is saying all the same things that Chavez said to get elected !

Remember that Ben Franklin didn't think this country and constitution would last 20 years. That we've made it this long (although some might argue that the Constitutional republic ceased to exist in 1865) is a testament. However, we haven't had real bloody upheavals since the 1960s. We are overdue; am not looking forward to it given the general state of ignorance. I fear it will be bad. Really bad. Americans WILL fight for liberty; when so many discover just what "change" has meant...

We would not replace the constitution. We would keep that and reform as much else as we needed to, so that history does not repeat itself. Americans are not stupid; we try not to make the same mistakes twice. Especially when the first time we were taxed without representation, it was the king(so you can't say that we ARE making the same mistake twice).
And just because you didn't see any black or latino people, it doesn't mean that they're not there. Or couldn't make it.

This sure strikes me as an us vs. them commercial. The "them" isn't Japan, or England, its our duly elected government. The revolutionaries were against taxation without representation.
