This was, and still is, amazing musical theatre! Incredibly imaginative! You need to watch the whole show to appreciate it. This was a team of exceptional musicians working closely together, each of whom was equally important. How many hours of development and rehearsal must have gone into this! Wish we had more like them now.Thank you for sharing.
this is great.. funny, phil looks positively bored here.. he found his niche later as the front man. some did not care for genesis after gabriel went solo, but i always was entertained by collins when i saw the '76 shows and later into the 80's. phil DID exploit things to the max as he became a pop star, but, well, there it is.
Genesis Six Hours Live 1972-1980 2DVD set, Genesis, The Lamb Live at the Shrine 1975 3-disc 2CD/DVD set, Six of the Best Milton Keynes 1982 reunion CD set and MORE available at Tommygunvideo, see our channel info for link video/audio clips and more info
Judging from the end credits at the conclusion of this video, this was the final number in the Live at Shepperton performance they had professionally filmed in 1973.
Poésie.............fantastique.

@zackjp There's no better bass than a Rick. True story. Geddy Lee also had one of those which he used on Xanadu.

Amazing! Does anyone know why this is in a different key than on the album?
christiannebel 6 months ago
@christiannebel Studio editing sometimes seem to do this.
yvonnicole 6 months ago
@christiannebel Gabriel couldn't do it in the original key night after night, they needed to do it to preserve his voice.
