Titans are special because they are a badge of honor; being able to fly one means that your alliance is powerful, and that you are one of the best pilots in said alliance. Also, they are expensive as hell, so it's a mark of "hey, look, ostentatious spending here!" I left out the sheer power that they have because I'm fairly sure that you already know that.

no, it wouldn't. a) because the pilot would probably find a carebear hub and blow the hell out of it, or b) get swarmed by every pilot within a 100 system radius =/

carebears don't really make their homes in low sec, and I doubt that every pilot within 100 system radious will want a piece of it, Infact , if you have a huge alliance travelling with you, there not really need to worry, due to the doomsday weapons on titans, it could easily wipe out 95% of the opposition.

not if you have a powerful alliance, nobody ever flies a titan alone, besides, you basically need a huge alliance to have titan, and a corp atleast, otherwise you won't be able get a lowsec station, you would pwn them if you had a doomsday weapon onboard anyways.
