  • What is the song on this video or where is this loop sequence from? Very curious. I like the beat.

  • lol isnt every pullup a gravity pullup?

  • @NewKidOnTheBlock100 kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk gravity pullup HAIUHAIUHUIAHIUHAIU

  • awesome place !

  • added this to my workout, I do p90x now and always looking for ways to do quick and effective workouts in 30 mins or less

  • @LTS1287 Trust me, none gives a shit.

  • @LTS1287

lol dumbfuck, the focus of this exercise is going slow on the way down, not how hard you can jump on your way up.

  • @BrownFlip7852: Did I say that the focus of the exercise is how hard you can jump on the way up? Please quote me as to where I said those exact words. I never made any comments about the negative portion of the rep. Maybe I don't know shit about pullups but at least I can have better reading comprehension skills than some shaved ape with too much keyboard time -that's you, dipshit.

  • @LTS1287

ahhh such is the logic of idiots. You said it should be called the "momentum" pull up, but the only momentum involved is the momentum used to jump up. You can work out the rest faggot.

  • @LTS1287

lol it was a terrible pun/joke at that. You said a joke. No one gave a shit. now you all butthurt. please leave because you're just making it worse for yourself.

  • This is actually a good way to do some whole body cardio, too. Just do a lot of reps at a good pace with only short rest periods between sets. It's sort of a sort-of jump plus a about half a pull up, but just enough of both to get the heart rate up.

  • @FlashMotorGuy007 So, if i lift weights and eat right, i can automatically do pull-ups, if i've never done it before? I dont think so, you gotta practice on it, and the video is meant for that.. Not for showing what a pull up is.

  • Wow, most of the comments on here are incredibly stupid. This dude isn't doing this because he cant do a normal pullups. At the beginning he clealy states "if you cant do a normal pushup, try this". And idiots think you have to be a body buildier to be in shape. This is lean fit muscle, not bulk thats there for show and bench presses. Just go to his ab workout and watch the last 30 seconds while he does the ab twist. That shit is insanely difficult.

Thumb this up to get rid of top comments...

  • this is a good exercise for beginners who would like to improve their pull/up count.

  • @Xsifilad i acccept

  • Lol at this skinny fuck all he has going for him is his abs a side from that nothing is well in proportion

  • @KaizokuMaiku What the hell are you talking about?..

  • The fuck is this shit? Why not just not do pullups at all if u are gonna jump the whole way...

  • @Loyfex cuz hes a noob

  • For those who are deaf, at the beginning the narrator says: "For those who are unable to do a pull-up." It would seem logical then, that this exercise is not an actual pull-up, and is more of a way of training for someone to be able to do pull-ups later on. Granted, it is probably an effective exercise for that purpose, and you can be pretty damn sure that the guy demonstrating can do more real pull-ups than you.

  • @ChesterDoraemon thats how they got those awsome six pack!! noon i jk that's nasty!!!

  • @ANZACJugger0 could not have said it better myself. props man!

  • Also - this IS a good way to develop your ability to do standard pull-ups, as long as you very slowly descend, i.e. focus on the eccentric part of the move.

  • A jump-assisted negative pull-up.

  • Terrible form. If you're using the momentum from jumping then you're not working your muscles at all. The only thing you're accomplishing is increasing your risk of injury.

  • @PalerLaze

the point is to slowly train your body to do a pullup

a lot of people can't do pullups when they start working out, and they have to build that ability, not for bodybuilders

it's not easy when your weak

  • @SkwerlBergamot It's still a high chance to get injured by doing it so fast. To learn how to do pull ups it's better to do assisted pull ups with negative reps. It's safer and it builds strength.

  • @PalerLaze

i never said it wasn't dangerous, i mean i've never done them, by the time i started doing pull ups i already had some pretty strong biceps

i actually didn't know how safe it was i just thought you meant they were useless

certainly isn't useless just not all to safe

  • @SkwerlBergamot Well I guess it could be of some help to get the muscles used to the motion, but it should only be done if you're spotted by a trainer.

  • this is PUSSY PULL UP !

  • This seems really dangerous on the shoulder muscles. If you are doing this you must stress good form or else you really risk injury. If you are a beginner and cannot do a pull-up that is absolutely fine. Jump up or use a chair to help yourself up, and slowly with the best form possible let yourself down shoot for 2-3 sec on your way down any more and you again risk injury. Think of your shoulder as a golf ball on a tee, it has that much rotation with little muscle surrounding it. So be careful.

  • GET OFF MY BAR...STICK..lol

  • vital advice .. because not all people can do the normal one

  • haha... too easy =)

Do real ones with a 40kg bag on your back, you'll get stronger in a few time.

  • @moussleouf i do the same ;)

  • @leduc322 :)

  • This is only to be used until someone gains the strength to do a proper pull-up. Until then they would rely on this or inverted rows.

There are many, many people who struggle with pull-ups you'd be surprised.

  • @UsyKilluminati

It's not meant to be a proper pull-up. Just some assistance until they get strong enough.

  • @BigBoss42695 still its better of trying to do a proper pull up or get a lil bit of asisstance with it rather then jumping because it aint actually a pull up and i doubt uts workin on nething lol. u shud try 2 do a actual pull up and keep on trying till u can

  • @UsyKilluminati I can do pullups?

  • @UsyKilluminati This way works.

  • jump pullups

  • Too much momentum.. I think these don't work

  • @ramboman916 they dont hahahaha

  • How could anyone be so unfit that they can't even do a pullup haha!!!

  • @PAPPADOM2k10 do you not live in america?

  • @F0Xhound009 No Ireland haha

  • @PAPPADOM2k10 you would be surprised how many people cant even do one pull up.. I feel bad for them.

  • how come only America can register as user?

  • good idea

the negative phase of the movement(done under control) builds strength also

if you have a partner..best to let them spot you on your feet...
