When this was recorded mid-fifties they would have considered the string writing to be middle of the road commercial.

Brownie (1930-1956) foi um dos maiotes fenômenos que o jazz produziu. Morto muito cedo (26 anos) deixou uma herança valiosissima para historia do proprio jazz. O tratamento que dava aos standards ou aos originais o colocava num patamar inenarrável. Cultuá-lo é dever de todo amante do jazz, parabéns pelo resgate desta peça preciosa.

thanks for uploading - this is one of my favorite recordings. Clifford Brown - I can't always follow and dig his uptempo recordings, but his ballads are just ridiculous (ridiculously good). Arigato!
