Basically if you're rocked against a submission artist, takedowns are not useful like it was in 2009 zZz. Well simulates real life if you get rocked you can't really defend yourself.

@falconsfan717 Well, it depends. What did you hate about 09? The general consensus is: for players who were good at 09, worse. For players who weren't that good at 09, better. This really only applies to the ground game, but since that is where 90% of the fights take place, it's pretty relevant. They added a new feature called auto-block, where it takes stick-hugging away and replaces it with computer-blocking. You have 2-3 transitions blocked for you before you have to reverse or get kicked off

@v1etnammer i just didnt like the fact that there were sooo many moves i had to memorize and that it just seemed that the computer could always counter every move i did but i could never counter their moves. but the auto block thing sounds nice since im terrible with blocks. but i still wanna rent this and see how it is.

@falconsfan717 Lol if you thought there were a lot of moves in 09... you're going to be overwhelmed by 2010. Every fighter has their own custom set of moves, and each with a level (from 1 to 3) to describe it's effectiveness. Not only will you have to learn all the moves, but you'll have to learn the custom moveset of each fighter that you plan on using. And the CPU will always counter you in 09 lol they made expert CPU too good. This year's CPU is a little easier to fight.

BT you need to start hitting ranked and fighting the higher levels. Some will be cheesers, but there are going to be a lot of skilled fighters. Because as it is now, people who watch your videos won't be learning the correct strategies to do well in ranked, only in player matches. This match was pretty short so it's not like there was much to learn but one thing is you never hold grapple block, and are always holding head block (#1 mistake for newer players).

They are resetting the leaderboards after the new patch anyway. I'll play ranked after then.

@BlameTruth Oh I know there are a lot of cheesers and exploiters online, but you will run into quite a few players who are legitimately good. This is how it is for PSN at least, but I'm sure XBL will have some legit players too. One camp that comes to mind is Chute Boxx. The patch is only fixing the omoplata-cancel, Machida takedown, lag (although that should be fixed) and super CAFs. All the fighters will be as broken as they were before, unfortunately :(
